Okay, since Detroit has a bad reputation, I'm just going to focus on Detroit not all of Michigan State. No doubt Detroit has gone through some bad times, bankruptcies during the recession, high crime statistics and abandoned homes, used to be the headline news, and because of that, it also has somewhat of an image problem as well. But since 2013 it’s in the midst of a major revival.
According to Crain’s Detroit business, the landscape of Detroit is starting to change. By mid-2017, median home sales prices had jumped 50 percent year-over-year to $36,000 and prices continued to rise throughout 2018.
Already, unemployment has dropped to 4.2%, bringing the city closer to the national average, according to the bureau of labor statistics. And, both weekly wages and yearly salaries are rising faster than many other major metropolitan areas.
In just three years, from 2014 to 2017, tourism numbers for the metro Detroit region jumped from 14 million visitors to 19 million per year.

Detroit’s first opportunity to host a “Select” event. The city was chosen due to its high output of goods and services in advanced industries, which totals $58 billion annually, as well as DEGC’s strategic focus on global commerce.

Microsoft officially opened its new regional headquarters in Downtown Detroit with a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday. About 450 employees relocated to the 50,000-square-foot office in 1 Campus Martius. "The spirit, the vibe, the innovation, the creative and the culture down here has been a completely different experience just in three weeks," said Microsoft Regional Vice President Tracy Galloway after the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Google is celebrating the grand opening Thursday of its Detroit office at The District Detroit linked to Little Caesars Arena.

Amazon just opened its 3rd massive warehouse. Amazon now open in Shelby Township the new Amazon Distribution Center in Shelby Township will be making big steps in the community soon.
With the recent construction of the 1-million-square-foot building on Mound Road and the widening of the road last year, operations are now underway.
