She is a U.S academic, basically will say things that reflect the current U.S position. They knew a lot of what they are saying right now way back in time but refused to talk about it, the change is due to change in their interests.
Previously U.S academics would say nice things about Pak because it suited their aims.The would completely ignore or even silently be okay with big horrific policies like OP Searchlight... thats all there is to it.

These days she's been quite has she not? Just 3-4 years ago events like in Quetta would have happened every 2 days. Things have gotten a lot better.
