The case for a strong military is there for bangladesh. A strong air force is more important than the rest especially in their geo strategic environment. The threats bangladesh faces are the same it faced thousands of years ago. Its ports are vulnerable.
The hindu fascists in india could capture chittagong as their is no sea port for their north east. As assam and other states grow they will be more dependent on myanmar or china. Hindus would eye chittagong then.

They can eye it all they want. But they won't get it. People of Bangladesh would rather die than have Hindus as their masters...they will fight to the last man.
