Simple. Both nations have worked to improve relations. We solved our border dispute with China in a very quick manner which actually allowed this friendship to flourish. Both nations have been working on each others friendship which has allowed to us to take new heights. The recent height came when china backed us on the OBL incident ( the guy they invaded Afghanistan for ) and the super power was left grinding its teeth and the cpec corridor which is an economic boon for Pakistan...

You will see this friendship only grow from here as slowly china and Pakistan are getting connected even more.
