Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi was granted bail by a Patna court in connection with a defamation case filed by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi on Saturday, reports Zee News.

At an election rally at Kolar in Karnataka on 13 April, Gandhi had said, “I have a question. Why do all thieves have Modi in their names, whether be it Nirav Modi, Lalit Modi, and Narendra Modi? We don’t know how many more such Modis will come out.”

Sushil Modi had filed a defamation case against Gandhi over the statement. “Rahul defames and hurts the sentiments of everyone who has the Modi surname,” he said.

The former Congress president was granted bail on two sureties of Rs 10,000 each after he surrendered before Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Kumar Gunjan, who is the judge for special MPs and MLAs court.

Gandhi had also ran into trouble for attributing his “Chowkidar Chor Hai” remark to Supreme Court, for which he had to tender an unconditional apology to the court. Gandhi had said that the remark was made in the high-spirit of election campaigning.

Karma are the acts which are performed through your present physical body. How many acts being performed are under your control is quiet debatable. But the acts being performed by you will definitely have a result later on.


In Bhagvad Gita it is clearly mentioned that one should protect cows.

How I understand Karma with my limited knowledge is, " Karma is like Newton's 3rd law, each and every action has a reaction, so what actions we did in past lives and doing now, all will produce a reaction, so we we will face in the same life time some next. so karma is like, no matter what you do, you will be rewarded or punished depending on the act, when which life, we do not know.

Moreover which actions are not resultant of past karmas and which fresh karmas are sowing reactions for future is pretty deep.

Its better to avoid doing any thing which is harmful to the society and to other humans. That is Dharma.

Karma consequences are not measure in materialistic way, they are calculated as per what affect is/was caused on other humans.
