but how do you know they are trusted? people do make promises, but keepig their promise is the real test. And those who are really trusted as you say, why dont they stand in elections so the public vote for them? If they are that much capable of attracting people for a revolution and are trusted as well, why not taking part in elections? Those who earn the rights to vote rather than those who are just granted.
Leading a revolution and winning an election are totally different things. To lead a successful revolution to overthrow the current government, you need to demostrate exceptional leadership skills and strategical thinking besides a charismatical personaliy for people to trust you and follow you.but how do you know they are trusted? people do make promises, but keepig their promise is the real test. Not practical and not wise thing.Let's back on the election part, in my opinion people should at least be able to pass some tests to prove that they have the mental capacity for understanding government affairs and policy issue before they think whom they want to put into office.
So are elections. I don't see people replace someone better with elections either. The difference here is with revolution the threat of losing power is real, with election those who hold the real powers behind the scense will never feel threatened as the next elected one is just as manipulatable as the previous one, and as the average people will even realize that because they think at least they have a voice in the decision making process.
