Why CPEC agreements are confidential, former chairman FBR Shabbar Zaidi explains

. .
A fraudster is always given away by his own lies. On the one hand they are saying 'the agreements were private'. On the other, they are telling the whole world there is a 20% guaranteed rate of return. In this case, you are breaking an international agreement? By rights, the Chinese government can sue you in an international court for breach of agreement? Can anyone give answers to these questions?

They r welcome to mr shabbar zaidi. As government didnt release any official statement or document therefore confidentially is not breach

And this will be acceptable in international courts? Just from your sentence it is evident that the government has caused a leak through negligence and/or perjury. You think everyone is a fool like yourself?

Yes this will be acceptable in international courts.

As shabbar is talking in his own capacity and has not given any specific details. As chairman fbr he has no access to documents he is talking about so his statement in legal terms is hearsay.

International courts dont work like 8 to 11 anchor shows of which u r fond of.

Calling me fool does not change the reality. Only a fool will think that matters like these will go to international courts. If government starts reacting on statements of individuals then there will be more intergovernmental cases then civilian cases. Sorry my friend real world is lot different than pakistani and indian news channel shit show

International Court Cases only happen when both sides agree to accept the legitimacy of the trials and rulings, and even then their rulings are unbinding.

At this point you are proving yourself to be a fool. Because Shabbar Zaidi's words aren't the words of an individual, they are revelations of previously secret information that can only be obtained by being part of the government. Your media watchdogs have not taken any steps to stop the spread of this information, your government hasn't served any notices asking Shabbar Zaidi to cease and desist. Your government is criminally negligent in safeguarding the privacy of confidential agreements.

Hmmmm .... so when one side start doing due diligence, then other side would not approve ML-1 project.

Now it makes sense.

Consider that PML-N takes credit for CPEC, why not ask them for the controversial agreement terms instead? Obviously CPEC is an investment initiative which guarantees China profit for the work that they do. Which is fine.

The problem is the RoR that they are achieving is it in line with international norms or that that the PML-N agreed to higher than normal rates to receive kickbacks in their accounts.

Now these news have started coming out. These doubts were always there. Goods and services required for project completion could not be bought from any other sources but the Chinese. They got the interest on the debt they gave us and would also get the guaranteed return on investment while we have no clue where the money was spent and how much of it was spent. If a project costs 1 billion USD, the contractor could have finalized it, say, 500 million USD, by installing substandard materials. We would have no way to know what happened with us until everything began coming apart (Islamabad airport). On top of everything, we would be paying interest and guaranteed return on investment (which might be much lower than promised) since we have no way of checking if the promise was fulfilled.

Now we had robber barons and shortsighted fools in the shape of PML N leaders who agreed to these highly EXPLOITATIVE terms, but how myopic are our friends to the North who put our financial stability at peril for short term financial gain? If CPEC fails, what credibility would the rest of BRI have that is already under much scrutinies and would now appear rightly so!

Fbr chairman has access to government to government financing agreement.

You are talking about things which you have no idea.
@CriticalThought if u want to discuss then discuss with arguments ...

Present me one case where a country went international court suing another country for a political opinion of an ex government official on a matter which had nothing to do with his portfolio.
