KFC and McDonald's have been acquired by Chinese companies already,
popular?10 years ago, maybe now only poor people go to KFC and McDonald in China .

So much? How much? Most of Chinese eat Chinese food at most of time, in the most popular food list, most are Chinese food, so some foreign food are popular mean Chinese like them more? so what about Chinese food in USA? Not popular?

Because China has huge population, seems many people eat KFC kinds of western food sometime, but still just tiny proportion of China food market, need to boast about it? Come on, in front of Chinese food, all others are nothing, are them?

Just fast food, comparing to China huge population, the comsumption is tiny, maybe can say they are popular, but just few of popular foods in China.

Chinese people love to eat out. In 2016, they spent $506 billion on eating out, greater than the GDP of Sweden. In comparison, McDonald's sale in China is like $3 billion for the same year.

For every McDonald/KFC, there are at least 100 Chinese local restaurants, and the most popular restaurants in China are hotpot restaurants. The title of this article is an overstatement.

Nonsense. It is not an overstatement.

If it is true that reservations are recommended, how is that an 'overstatement'? It does not matter if there are more Chinese restaurants nearby. Of course there should be more Chinese restaurants. But the question remains: Why are American fast food popular enough that these chain stores thrives? Calling them 'junk' food and praising Chinese food does not illuminate the issue.

Remember the 'gutter oil' scandal...???

Are China's branches of KFC and Pizza Hut using gutter oil?
