It's a liberal fixation because they can't cut the umbilical cord with the India of the British empire. For many our past needs to be decoupled from our Muslim history otherwise they fear we will not be Pakistani enough. Tbh, there are so many different stories on Haider Ali's origins. I think I'll just leave it at unknown, the proof for this case doesn't seem concrete enough in my eyes.
