I doubt the figure for China. All Chinese I know of pay anywhere between 900-1200 RMB per year for unlimited 50-100 Mbps internet connection, which translates to $12-$16 per month for unlimited internet at 50-100 Mbps.

FTTH 20mbps (25mbps in real) upload and download speed with 40GB cap and beyond that 5mbps at a cost of Rs800 (US $13) in a small town. In bigger cities, it is a lot more cheaper. Besides, JIO 4G is always there. I get around 25mbps maximum speed in JIO. JIO used to have 40mbps speed, but it came down. 4G VoLTE - coverage is not satisfactory.

Just checked, My data rate is different. It's 150 GB. That justifies the price difference.

I guess I hardly use 15% of the data limit I have, since both me and my wife are mostly out of station working on-site at client premises. Seems like I'm having almost 500GB unused data carried forward. I should better downgrade the plan it seems.
