Genghis khan1 beat me to it. It's got nothing to do with religion. Its about poverty. To perform intellectual feats a nation has to become rich first. European enlightenment was an accomplishment of their rich class. Their thinkers and scholars were rich people who had no compulsion to work on them. They employed their lives in cerebral pursuits. Same was the case with Greek philosophers of classical times.

Instead of copy/pasting some random map out of your ***, first find out the definition of a develop nation, difference between rich and oil rich and then what development have to do with anything.

The primary reasons that deserves consideration is the political turmoil in Middle East, oppressive tyrannies, Economic and Industrial underdevelopment and lack of proper governance for this precariousness. Precisely the reason why a number of Latin American, South and South East Asian countries stumbles to establish a kinder environment for science and research.

First find out the definition of a develop nation, difference between rich and oil rich and then what developed have to do with anything.

You first claimed Muslims don't do well because they are all poor and ill fed mostly.

Then argued only developed countries do well in Science, innovation etc. The map I submitted showed countries that are not "developed", yet doing quite well.

Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia are all first world countries. Each having a per capita GDP of more than $20,000.

I'd like to ask the same question again. What does having the status of a developed country, have to do with the failures cited in the article?

Of course America, a majority and deeply Christian country, or Europe, or Israel are all lacking behind on publishing scientific papers of repute, on technology, or innovation etc to Muslims .
