...and after 62 years of sovereign existence, we are the ones who are still trying to justify our existence, by opening thread after thread just to prove how we-are-not-them. :cheesy:

I think we should consult the Taliban's and take their advice on this issue. What do you think ? We should have our own identity.

Seem like Taliban's are ready to help us.

Radio Pakistan comes to the aid of Dalits in India

the pakistanis have always been wanting to bring their racial supremacy into discussion...some guy with acute paranormal prowess in a different thread...concluded that i am 'not fair skinned' from my post...they keep getting lamer and lamer...
a lot of pakistanis and many bangladeshis argue that it was india and raw that resulted in the great split of 1971....while they fail to see the pakistani racial pride as being a very big factor!
from some pakistani post here on the forum i'd like to quote..."Pakistan is located at the crossroads of South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East. On the other hand, India is located at the core of South Asia."
thank god for pakistan...!

Good God. Can we stop with the models now?

It would be nice if Indians looked like that, but you don't

Most Bollywood actresses and models don't even have Indian roots.

Why do you (Indians) always do this, in such threads? You can see why you're in this state of mental limbo, of trying to be something you're not.

I think the poster's aim was to show that Indians accept people with darker skin colours as beautiful. If a darker skinned woman can become models and actresses it is a counterexample to the argument that Indians are fixated with skin colour.

Good god, did you even read my post?

It would be nice if Indians looked like that, but you don't

Are you saying that the model whose picture i posted isnt Indian? We don't look like models? Yea thanks for that gem of an insight. Most people around the world don't look like models.

Most Bollywood actresses and models don't even have Indian roots.

Oh really? What's this, another Pakistanis are Fair and Handsome while Indians are dark and ugly BS?

Why do you (Indians) always do this, in such threads? You can see why you're in this state of mental limbo, of trying to be something you're not.

On the contrary, some members (note - I'm not generalizing all Pakistanis, unlike you) on this forum have this fascination to justify Pakistans existence based on insipid theories on how we are different from those darkies i.e Indians. We ( i think i speak for all Indians on this forum) find it hilarious honestly.

We're not trying to be anything. The purpose of this thread was to debate Indian obsession with fair skin, i said that i prefer dusky women and posted pictures to show that dusky Indian women are as pretty as "fair skinned" models. Understood? Now run along roadrunner.

samjha karo yaar, woh apni taang kichne ki koshish kar rahe hain.. :D hehe.. so just be cool and its true that their is some addiction here in india about fair skin but i don't think it related to superiority but more like status as it was mentioned by Keysersoze.
but i wouldn't worry about it becoz i don't care about skin color but accepting the fact won't hurt?if you remain cool, its really going to blow their minds:rofl:

Sir,

Everyone wants to look good in today's world. And there is nothing wrong in it.

There are Dark People in India and never seen someone make fun because he/she is Dark.

If the thread title was "Why is modern India intolerant?" then it would be much better for the discussion. Because I also see the Modern India is becoming intolerant especially the Big Cities.

You Indians try way too hard to associate yourself with Pakistanis.
One Indian in this thread said Pakistani is not a race. Is Indian a race? Indian is nothing but a word created by the british who distorted the name of the Indus river (that flows through Pakistan) and made a name for their empire and people belonging to that empire. Its like saying Nilian is a race for Egyptians. Also desi is not a race either, desi means someone belonging to the homeland in Urdu.

Go to any Indian street in U.S. you will see everyone looking like Gandhi and Pranab Mukherjee and the North Indians keep arguing that they are different looking than South Indians but all Indians look pretty much the same to me.

Indians and Pakistanis dont look the same. You will see many Pakistanis with naturally white skin color, some with blonde hair and blue eyes...you will never see an Indian with blonde hair blue eyes. I'm not saying that we dont have brown skinned Pakistanis, we have all kinds of skin colors in Pakistan. Pakistan is much much more diverse than India.

And please dont fool the world, by saying the regular Indian look like Bollywood stars. Just take a look at the most beautiful woman in India without makeup.

Ah, General BS strikes again!!

Indian isnt a race.

Consult an eye specialist.

Pakistanis are blonde? Is dyeing your hair blonde a new rage in Pakistan?

And please dont fool the world, by saying the regular Indian look like Bollywood stars. Just take a look at the most beautiful woman in India without makeup.

Yes, quite right Omar, we Indians are ugly. Why do you think we buy fair and lovely so much?

PS - I would have answered you seriously, but i've grown tired of your silly arguments.

"Against stupidity, the gods themselves battle in vain."

Yes, quite right Omar, we Indians are ugly. Why do you think we buy fair and lovely so much?

What is the solution then? Fair and Lovely cream?

Indians are obsessed with the fair skin because Indians are not fair skinned. Very sad. But unlike Omar, I would say Indians always try to associate themselves with Europeans by branding themselves Indo-European race. Yes true, but marriages with Dravidians changed their genetic status. Some exceptions can be found. But in general, Kashmiri Muslims are true Indo-Europeans. And thats why Indians dark skinned soldiers try to rape Kashmiri women. Well to do Indian girls go abroad to get company from American Anglo Saxons in order to change their genetic status, though Anglo Saxons do not give them wife's status. Very sad.

Blonde hair and blue eyes are very common in the north. Any Pakistani will tell you. Go to NWFP, Northern Areas you will see many Pakistanis with natural blonde hair and blue eyes.

Also natural white skin is found almost in every area in Pakistan.

We even got black skin people near the Makran coast.

We have much more diversity in Pakistan.

If you go visit an Indian street in U.S. you will see everyone with brown/black skin, everyone pretty much looks similar well the Indians I met in U.S., U.K., Canada.

The only Indians that look differernt than the rest of Indians are some Sikh Punjabi Indians but some of them look like Gandhi too.

Most Indians look like Gandhi but they are not peaceful people like Gandhi was.

The makeup of a human being is not in his/her control. This is something no one can do anything about. Europeans have no control over their fair complexion and non-Europeans have no control over their less-than-white complexion. Why should we even bother about something that is simply not in our control? Besides what color tells about the scholarly aptitude of a person? It is totally irrelevant.

India has produced Nobel laureates such as Sir C.V. Raman, Dr. Hargobind Khorana, Dr. Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar, Rabindranath Tagore and there are a number of Nobel prize winners of African descent such as Dr. Ralph J. Bunche, Albert John Luthuli, Martin Luther King Jr., Sir William Arthur Lewis, Bishop Desmond Tutu, Wole Soyinka, Derek Walcott, Toni Morrison, Nelson Mandela, Wangari Maathai etc.

We should find pride in our achievements rather than in our appearance.
