No , I believe its mentioned in one of their scriptures , the Quran or a Hadith that The prophet in fact forgave those who belittled his greatness and was kind and merciful to them . And the trangressers were later moved by remorse and begged his forgiveness.

Dont know any specifics but maybe some knowledgeble Muslim member can clarify.
