I'd prefer people Pakistanis with this accent compared to the posh noise I hear coming out of Pakistanis in America or Canada. The only other Pakistanis who are just as honorable as UK Pakistanis are Pakistanis in Norway.

You only met 3 Pakistanis in your whole professional life? I live in Germany (100k Pakistanis living here) and I had at least 5 Pakistani developers as colleagues in the last 10 years. Ok, Munich is maybe not a good example because it’s very international but UK I thought is little Pakistan? But to be quite honest most of my UK rishtedaar have grocery shops, takeaways and drive taxi… but many have white British, Arab, Bengali and Malay spouses, so that’s an achievement according to this thread I guess?

Same here in Germany. I never went to clubs and stuff like that because I hate hook-up culture and loose morale, but many of my Turkish friends worked as bouncers and yes, their main task was it to bounce and kick out their fellow countrymen from discos and parties . You aren’t allowed to discriminate based on your ethnicity in Germany but they can deny you access by the clothes you wear. „Muslim“ associations here in Germany complain about this fact and cry racism and Islamophobia. Hilarious isn’t it? Denying Muslim access to a location with loose moral and alcoholism is Islamophobia now .

it is unfortunate but true that despite a healthy population of few millions, if you try to find professional Pakistanis in your local setting then they will be few and far between.
I know someone might now list the number of some high achieving lawyers, politicians, engineers, doctors, accountants of Pakistani descent but I would reply by dividing that number with the total UK Pakistani pool.

the discussion is about looks and dressing for occasion and behaving accordingly. Western society maybe "loose" morally by strict Muslim traditions but the women dont face the kind of discrimination and harassment our working and student Pakistanis face on their way to work, shopping and educational institutions. now the funny bit, while working at the door, we didnt kick out Asian group of men due to their ethnicity but because they were light weight and cheap drunks and after one or two, they will decide that every female in the club was a hooker therefore its ok to finger them or group them just like this ok to group and finger in over crowded narrow street Markets of Pakistan and over crowded buses and the poor women will just bear the embarrassment and shame quietly and wish the ordeal is over and then can get home. but women here dont let the culprit go away, they dont appreciate being fingered and grouped by strangers so they will raise the alarm and the culprits were dealt with, but this tendency of men is not necessarily restricted to Asian men, but others too so while dealing with such people, race or religion doesnt really matter, but the conduct does,
