The Treaty of Lausanne has no expiration date, so 2023 is irrelevant.
I mean, think about it. The Treaty of Lausanne marks the birth of modern Turkey. This is the reason after all that the Republic of Turkey will celebrate its first centennial in 2023.
Reneging upon it to the status quo ante would mean Turkey ceases to exist..or to be exact, ceases to be recognized as sovereign within its agreed upon borders.
I really have no idea how that urban legend of sorts started.
the US did not sign the Treaty of Lausanne and since 2013 the US/Israel/France tried to apply the Treaty of Sevres in practice
but the Turks kicked the US/Israel/France and their terrorist groups PKK/YPG , ISIS , FETO in Turkiye,Iraq,Syria and in the Eastern Mediterranean
100 years ago We Turks won Turkish War of Independence led by ATATURK
and We Turks won the second Turkish War of Independence led by ERDOGAN
no more we Turks dont care about the Treaty of Lausanne ... We Turks will do everything what we want
