Brar didn't say he was a traitor,he merely said he respected Shabeg saab a lot and that he saw him at the Harmandir saab and shabeg saab saw him too.

He certainly didn't leave it at that or I take it you haven't read Brar's book. He distinctly brings out Shabeg's dubious past as a 'disgruntled' ex-army officer in a disparaging manner. I am not saying Brar had an axe to grind with Shabegm, he just towed the official line.

I saw his interview,haven't read his book.

I think yeah Brar did make a reference to his story of dismissal from the army but didn't mention the real politics/reasons behind it.
