Whoops !! Russian T-14 Armata Breaks Down

Perhaps the smart@$$ who wanted to be called a smart@$$ by designing a new drive system for Russian tanks?

Everything about the tank is new, as it should be. By your logic why does the Abrams not use a "drive system" from the ww2 Sherman?

Everyone is human, the unexperienced driver made a mistake and all of the sudden the trolls come out in full force. Even if it actually broke down it is still a prototype and all prototypes have issues that take time to solve. At the end though it was human error and a bunch of trolls now have egg on their faces.

What, were you there, chief ? And it took them FIFTEEN MINUTES to figure out they had the brake on ? HOLY SHIT !!!

No i was not there but thousands of people were there as witnesses including a guy from another forum i go to. Obviously at first everyone suspected that it was mechanical but it turns out it was the emergency lockup breaking system. And while you are trolling and acting like a smart *** you would not have figured out the problem any sooner especially if you had little experience with the tanks operation systems, a tank is a lot more complex to operate then a car, i don't think that there is a hand break, so it would not be that obvious.

. .
how about this one? what stopped it from going up to the Truck? )))

Gee you are an idiot. It takes a long time to position a tank on a flatbed truck, if the tank is not perfectly lined up it will flip over the side. Tanks constantly have do reposition themselves on to flatbeds.

It's no different than a bulldozer, backhoe or other heavy piece of equipment. But the funniest part is that it took them 15 MINUTES to figure out they had the brake on !!! And you'd figure that they'd have one of their 'sharper' crews manning this new, kick-*** piece of hardware for the big parade. All of a sudden, I'm not too scared of their new system and crew.:usflag:

@Kamil_baku
Again you are shooting on our own feet ...
I don't understand why you are trolling Russians, here? I understand piss contests of Americans and Russians as military superpowers of this planet, but what's your point in here? I can bet that Azerbaijan will buy Armata in future from Russia.
But, if you are serious, and do not want to troll Russians, and truly believe that Turkish military products are comparable to Russian products, then I would be really sorry for your stupidity. Russians produce PAKFA, tens of thousands of produced fighter jets, intercontinental ballistic missiles, thousands of nukes, Mi-35 helicopters, Armata, T-90 tanks, ... What Turkey produces? nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, a useless copy of A-129 which has had numerous failures, crashes and flaws, and a copy of a Korean tanks which they don't even know what engine should be used for it!
Finally, instead of believing any garbage rumors and useless charming words of bunch of hypocrites, try to study some real facts, and caring more for your country which is Azerbaijan, not Turkey, Russia or anywhere else.

You know that i respect you. But call me stupid shouldnt be part of our conversation. Dont use this language, if you want to keep healthy friendship! Anyway, i hope we will not have these anymore, never ever!!!

Actually, i dont have problems with Russians, i speak their language and so on.. The Russian guy "something like Ptl..M3" acted like a kid. It was more like my anger to him that took me to this post!
On the other hand... We talk about Russian tank, not air fighters or helicopter. Keep those names for yourself, seems like everybody thinks he is the guy knows all this shit! Whatever...
Russian main goal was to mass produce tanks, firepower instead of quality.. It goes to second world war philosophy and t34 over german quality.. I dont want to be a teacher now, you probably know these..
I also know todays Russia, because i dont know Russia from different news paper..
One thing is Russia can convince me with their technological advantage, if they invest on their Universities, professors get paid well, people do study instead of corrupting teachers and so on.. Thats the only way to drive technological development. All those countries did the same..

In Azerbaijan, if you say words, you own it! So mr Azeri, what are you betting on Armata purchase by Azerbaijan? Within how many years?
Have a nice day..

Kamil, remember something; No one besides an Azerbaijani, genuinely cares for another Azerbaijani. Also, you already know our culture and how we are talking in a very frank way compared to others. So, whether I rebuke you or praise you with words, at the end, we are the true brethren. So, never get too happy or too sad about the words that I choose.

Sir, Armata is truly a revolutionary tank. Let's be fair ...
Russian main goal was to mass produce tanks, firepower instead of quality.. It goes to second world war philosophy and t34 over german quality.. I dont want to be a teacher now, you probably know these..
Yeah, but now the Russian strategy is changed. The new platforms like Boomerang, Armata, Kurganets are clearly using western ideas in their design. This change in their strategy is not happened over a night but they started collaboration with France in projects such as Atom, and after they reached to designs with western modular platform designs, they designed Armata, Boomerang, and Kurganets. So, Armata, Boomerang and Kurganets are no longer designed just based on out-numbering approach of cold war era because Russia no longer has a 5-million personnel army, neither their strategical goal is invading vast plains of Northern and Central Europe.
I also know todays Russia, because i dont know Russia from different news paper..
One thing is Russia can convince me with their technological advantage, if they invest on their Universities, professors get paid well, people do study instead of corrupting teachers and so on.. Thats the only way to drive technological development. All those countries did the same..
I have traveled to Russia for multiple times; hence honestly I don't know what you are talking about. I am not saying that Russia is in a perfect situation, ... because they are far from their apex time, but what you are saying is a too big claim which I don't see any proof for it.
BTW, again, I do believe that we should care about our own Azerbaijan, and let Russians care about their own country. So, it's just a waste of time for us to talk about this stuff.
In Azerbaijan, if you say words, you own it! So mr Azeri, what are you betting on Armata purchase by Azerbaijan? Within how many years?

Kamil, I am no prophet; hence, don't expect me to give you prophecies about the exact time, ... specially in a volatile region like our region with its continuously changing geo-politics. But, if you insist, I would say that we would buy a number of these new Russian products(Armata, Kurganets, Boomerang) in the 10-15 years from now. The exact time will heavily depend on financial situations of Russia as well.
Have a nice day too ... ;)

These tanks are brand new, how much experience can someone get from a prototype?
That is a terrible argument/defense.

In every development prototype of anything, even a microwave oven, there is or should be one team dedicated to knowing how the thing works, its idiosyncracies, its behaviors due to new features, its failure modes, and finally, how to start/stop the thing. So the experience should have been there already. We do it with new jet fighters when we have dedicated test pilots and do it with new subs with dedicated test crews. And in this case where the thing is supposed to be the pride and joy of the army, you do not allow a novice to take the tank out on the parade ground.

The argument is out of context. The T-14 had experienced crew (the factory test drivers) but because those test drivers were not active military (from how i read it) a Russian generals refused to let them drive the T-14s during the victory day parade even though the T-14's manufacture--uralvagonzavod protested the idea, nevertheless, the T-14s were handed down to soldiers that never had experience with the tank other then possibly a few weeks before the parade, if even that. So no, the argument is not terrible, it is the truth when read in its full context.

You are being very dishonest. I was the one that was getting mud slung at me by people like yourself, people that decided to pound their chests and brag about how the Altay is the greatest thing ever and the T-14 is junk. I kept my composure for the longest time even a Turkish moderator admitted that much to be true. If you want to see who has been acting like a kid by blatantly making immature comments about the T-14 in about 3 different threads then check your post history.

Look dude, i could post some funny videos about your anatolian "circus" but i don´t because in WW3 we need Anatolian assistance to deal with THE YANKEE BARBARIAN hordes.

So let us be friends and don´t be aggressive.
