What do you mean by Hindu India or Secular India? Hinduism by its very nature is secular to it's core. You will find monotheism, polytheism even atheism in its texts existing side by side. You can find in a street full of Hindus having various thoughts but still living peacefully without interfering or preaching as well as pushing the thoughts down the throat of others. Please consider the following points:-
Does it place jiziya on non followers of Hinduism?
Does it reduce the non followers to dhimmis?
Does it says only way to heaven is thorough this fellow and others are going to hell?
Does it restricts that non followers can't be given high ranking position just like there was issue in Pakistan when a Rana Bhagwandas became the CJ?

The only thing which needs to be taken care of is that the narration of "What constitutes a Hindu should not fall into the hands nincompoops, RSS for eaxample?". They shouldn't be the one who should be redefining its ideology and its narration and at the same it should not fall into the hands of so called India Secular's like Rajdeep Sardesia, Barkha dutt, Indra Lankesh.

India is secular because of Hindus.... Had India been Muslim Majority.. it would have become " Islamic Republic of some name " by now.

Well next election will settle it. but it does not any difference whether Indian Hindu appears secular or radical, he is mostly anti-Pakistan. Remember that conspiracy to divide Pakistan was hatched and executed by congress though later two of them were dispatched into the hellfire.

How is forcing religious laws of one community upon others like meat/beef eating secular?

If your secular, your government would have declared all individuals have free choice to eat as per their choice so whilst hindus can decline, minorities can eat meat/beef as per their own customs

You try to force religious laws of one community upon everyone and call yourself secular is a slap in the face of secularism

And what you say is failing in india, secularism is dying a dogs death

You have a hindutva narrative taking over where the lynching of a man can be celebrated if by the off chance the meat in the bins outside his home can be connected to beef
Where government ministers assault women if they are in relationships with muslims out of free choice and are widely applauded for it with no police action or effect upon their standing or political career

More that secularism controlled and kept the lid upon hindutva to try and make space for india's diverse population

But as Muhammad Ali Jinnah predicted it would fail and become a hindutva state

India will eventually in the very near future become the worlds largest and only Hindu democracy.

When the people renegotiate their ties with the state is where terrorism and extremism grow.
