Who will decide if the next elections are fair or not?

When democratic systems lose their moral authority, they also lose their credibility. It’s a really dangerous slippery slope that is only resolved when political players put national interests above politics.

Hope Imran Khan learnt a lesson here.

Electables and his stubbornness to stick with Buzdar. That was moronic.

The establishment wont let Imran Khan participate in elections. His party will be disqualified in foreign funding case.

Think about why IMF is sanctioning $8 billion loans to Pakistan and channeled $204m.

Do you think the Americans are dumb to do that when they know next elections would mean PTI’s victory?

The assholes in the establishment will never let this country grow out of its infancy.

The people element is still a big deal.

The thing is that rigging in Pakistan is a matter of 5% of the votes in any given seat. This is because it becomes obvious if more than that and also because this has been enough to swing a seat as needed (in our parliamentary setup). There have been moments when the establishment has failed to get the intended outcome even when it was heavily trying to rig the elections.

So we are totally out of our playbook here. Anything might happen.

they wont rig like that... there will be character assassinations of Imran anything useful in that regard from his past will be dug up, that's how the game is played now a days! Usually within the month of new elections you will know who is getting support from the establishment..... the war will be on media... IK needs to be super aggressive... **** everything and anything in his path, he needs to be ruthless if he is going to win...... these people that he is up against will use anything like they have against others in the past!

I would suggest Imran Khan sahab to begin Islamabad March from Peshawar/KPK this time.

Our pashtun brothers know how to get things done.

The people of Pakistan. This is not 1990- this is 2022 and the youth are not so obedient or timid - social media has tremendous reach and power.

Keep the pressure up- this old buzzard is proud of the youth of Pakistan.

Pre poll rigging, during poll rigging, post poll rigging is a reality.

Social media or not. The king makers have influenced the results in the past.

The next COAS will decide who wins the election. If he follows Bajwa , PTI will lose. Establishment didn’t do all the backend power moves to hand it all back to Khan within couple of months. They have been in power for more than 60 years. They will cling to power till the last sec, unless we genuinely see a internal pressure in army to end political medaling. Maybe the new army brass will see how Pakistan being robbed of true potential by constant intervention.

Do you thing election will be fair, as we can see the drama queen.....

I am seeing a trend where people are advocating that PTI government should be restored or should come back to power via election.

Moreover there's an alternative thread going on where members are advocating for civil disobedience and violence.

How will the people of Pakistan know whether the elections were fair or not since PTI has already established some facts:

PTI has already rejected the foundings of NSC meeting.
PTI guys curse Bajwa.
Army is American slave.
Judiciary is corrupt.
Police is corrupt.
ECP according to khan is PMLN stooge.
Civil servants are corrupt and PMLN stooges.

Who will determine if the elections were fair or not?

So if the elections do occur and IK does not win or win less seats? Will people accept the result?

No matter what the outcome of the elections will be, if IK isn't restored he'll advocate for violence and civil disobedience. We've already seen in 2014 and he's already planning to choke Islamabad.

The loosing party. As they will call it theft of mandate and rigged elections.
