I think India should get rid of ceremonial positions like President, more so if we chose a cr@p and insult to the position like "Pratibha Patil".

Or let's reserve this position for the people of high dignity like "A.P.J Abdul Kalam" who have achieved something and are not petty thieves like the ones from Pratibha Patil's family..

Dr MMS would be nice-he is admired throughout the world for what he has done and would make a great ambassador to travel abroad and represent India. A humble, educated and intelligent- a BIG step up from the current scum who sits in the office of Indian president.

+AFAIK the elections are sometime in 2012 so MMS is not eligible as he is to be PM till at least 2014 at the earliest.
