Who Killed Zia ul-Haq?

I guess he was not very fond of mangoes, especially the exploding variety!

That was rather TIC (Tongue In Cheek). That said, my guess is that there was a sufficiently large element of higher echelons of the PA and estt. that was beginning to view Zia (and the legacy that he was setting up) with grave concern, and would have liked him to go "off-stage". At that time the PA still had sufficient General Staff officers of the old school of thought.

While the Americans had begun to become aware of the end of Zia's utility; they certainly had no active interest in seeing him gone. Whether that line of thinking would have begun later, is moot.

^^ because he did what US wanted

SO did the Shah, Saddam and even Gaddafi. They got disposed with the by the blessings of the US

Yes the US did its best to make mends with the Khomeini regime in the beginning

ajj tawada din ha koi gul nahi phir sadi vi wari aia gee assi b poocha gya who killed ur president along with ur army chief

.
then pl answer me why was Gen. A/Beg the only 'general' who 'excused' himself from NOT boarding the ill-fated C-130 whereas the CoAS, US Ambassador and 24 senior ranks all climbed abord the a/c?

Well you should know better than me about the nature the top brass of Pakistan Army- Are they capable of killing their colleagues? Their partners in GHQ?

1. The PAF Investigation Committee - the technical committee had concluded that it was neither a pilot error nor a technical malfunction. The Committee did not mention sabotage but it was clearly inferred. Soon after submitting his report, the committee chief AVM Abbas Mirza was posted to Burma as the ambassador.

2. US had begun to fear Zia for his pursuit of Islamic ideology. Russians would definitely have wanted to avenge their defeat. Syrians were hosting Bhutto Jr who had sworn to kill the killer of his daddy. And of course there was the local Bhutto clan and their Al Zulfiqar gang. Israel, a sworn enemy of the Muslims, was alarmed by his keenness to acquire nukes and his propagation of Islamic unity. And finally India who was seeing in Zia a formidable, honest, patriotic and dynamic leader steadfast in his Islamic ideology for Pakistan.

3.Zia had collected too many enemies. But nothing or nobody could deter him from his goals to establish an Islamic unity under the leadership of Pakistan. If Jinnah had created Pakistan as a homeland for Muslims, if Ayub had nurtured it, then Zia truly came out open in his resolve to lead the Islamic nation. Zia was a "mard e mujahid" to whom Islamic Republic was not a political ploy but something to follow and achieve sincerely. Years just prior to his martyrdom and even now, WCC has been chracter assassinating him so that much of the Pak urban elite are happy to criticize him. But the common Pakistani and the rural Pakistani still regard him an Islamic saint - a Pir.

I assure you that perception has changed drastically after the common Pakistani found themselves being blown up by the children of the 'Pir'.
His pious self also collected enough loot so that his son lives comfortably to this day..
Perhaps a read in into the Shefta family among others may help on the pious nature of Zia-ul-Haq.

1.As we are in discussion, fighting has broken out at the outskirts of Peshawar Cantt as of 1800 hrs local time. Baddaber is a few km west of the old Air HQ along the Mall Rd. Had become infamous as the US U-2 base.

2.FC and Police as well as the Pak Taliban are Muslims and Pakistanis. Only someone like could unite and inspire Pakistan into unity and resolve. IK? Don't joke! He is a push up to contain the Islamic resurgence. He is a plant to finally convert and formally betray the Kashmiris by converting the COL into an international border after ZAB had reduced the CFL to COAL (1965) and LOC (1971).

Question is.. will Pakistanis all agree on what a Muslim is?
Is a wahabi the correct Muslim or a 12'er imam shia?

The people whom you call "wahabi" follow sunnah. Prove me otherwise.

Give any one thing which they (the "wahabis" in your interpretation) have added in the religion?

After studying the above you are free to study 12'er imam shia.

Oh no.. they have added the worst thing into the religion..
clergy.
They have taken a system of life and turned it into a rigid ritualistic belief system.

1. Islam is not a "religion" as defined in the dictionary. It is a revolution which has continued to reform and educate mankind.

2. The Message of Islam is inclusive. We have Shias and Sunnis and others who all subscribe to the fundamentals. Wahibism, 12'er and others evolved in various parts of Muslim community in various period of history to address issues faced by the Muslims at that particular time and location.

3. Take the example of Jinnah. Born into Punja sub-sub sect of Ismaili sub-sect of Shia sect, in his youth he was an anglicized young man very much fitting to the current description of a secularist. But Jinnah was a brilliant man exceptionally perceptive. When he came in contact with Muslim leaders and alems of the time he was completely transformed. He buried his Parsi wife in a Muslim graveyard with Islamic rites. He disowned his daughter - only child, because she was marrying a non-Muslim. If you can get to read Jinnah's last speech, which he delivered at SBP opening, you would find he was hoping to establish a Pakistan that Zia was looking for.

India and the PPP were Zia ul Haq's biggest enemy out of all because he helped stir up the Sikh movement. And the theory is that it Benazir made a secret pact with India with the promise that if India kills Zia she will dismember the ISI support for the sikh movement. And evidence suggests that she actually closed the program.

Second plausable theory is that the CIA or mossad killed Zia for extending the Nuke program.

Was Zia ul Haq a wahhabi or a deobandi or barelvy?

He was none of those. Shaeed Zia was a plain and simple Muslim who led a pious life in the mold of Islam's great men.
