Who killed Saleem Shahzad? (Saleem Shahzad, Al Qaeda and ISI)

pretty much the same thing what i said ... any how i think the guy did a great job he exposed more people he gave more insight into what are these people upto and who are they? he risked his neck and any one would understand the consequences of getting inside such murky world of al qaeeda and their follies ... the guy is a hero and sure has shown the world a thing about Real investigative journalism .. his name will survive for ever , infect should be nominated for a big time meddle !1

We all could have guessed that. It is not so difficult after one reads all the journals and analyzes them critically and then measure the truth with the consequences that follow. But this man's information is not only highly detailed, but also completely verifiable, and every single detail fits in its own place perfectly.

It is akin to saying that I also know things fall down. But it was Newton who found out how and why.

Anyway, his demise is a big loss for he was perhaps the only one with such deep connections in both sides of the war.

Just one question: why would have ISI and/or the Army have killed Saleem Shehzad now ? If someone literally accuses you of high treason, and that the said accusation is already available to the masses, why would you kill him days after ? What's the benefit, apart the media obviously pointing the finger at you for the murder ? Especially when May 2011 has witnessed, literally every week, instances of faults which harmed Army's, ISI or Rangers - defence - credibility.

But I do think that some of Army and/or ISI are unfaithful may be traitors, and that's purely logical: ask any Pakistani, what's his first identity, Pakistan or Muslim (as if there was a contradiction.) He'll say Muslim: now, if there's a Lal Masjid case (Pakistan vs Islam), he'll obviously prefer Islam than his national identity.

.
Lal Masjid was a crime decided my Musharaf and conducted by Army and to be honest this was the biggest mistake Pakistan made in decades. That became reason for all the hatred against Militry, Pakistan and rise of Taliban in Swat and elsewhere. BUT there are people who are bone-head and who still insist LAL Masjid was justified. If it was, there is a parameter to judge.. if we confront another incident like lal-masjid, will we conduct similar operation and burn men, women an children with sulfur bombs? HELL NO!

Now Saleem Shahzad, this is just another flop operation conducted by ISI. He wasn't the first journalist killed by them.. listen Najam Sethi who was being tortured by them and he got heart-attack - the living and open witness to what ISI does. There is no doubt Pakistan needs cleansing in its departments and that include every department of the state of Pakistan and this includes ISI, PA, PAF, PN and other government Institutions including parliament, judiciary and media. No question about it.

So when we say we need reforms in every department of the country, why is there resistance when we name ISI ?

. .
najam sethi is the real disease, and also reflects how the external forces are trying to divide pakistanis

isi and army are bogged down under pressure, its acceptable, but terrorists within the army etc, now something is wrong with mindset of 5% pakistanis

some media is really trying to create a rift between army and civilians.. trying to make them fight each other

lal masjid's case was not about being muslims first or pakistani first, it was all about using forces on people who were pakistanis inside the capital and unarmed, or less armed than pakistani soldiers, it was meant to dishearten pakistanis, why was it done??, it was ego of one person who started all this war mess, what did it accomplish?? nothing, just anachy and mistrust for army, bad pakistani image in the world, entire world saw the worst image of pakistan possible and what happened in future??, kharotabad incident and karachi incident!!, why many soldiers decided not to follow orders??, because they are patriotic, understood that they cant stand the ego of one man sold to amrica, and they thought it would kill many people

the entire issue could have been resolved using negotiations

people repeated every time army should not go to kill people in swat and bajour, innocent people killed, tribal people who cant live without guns and consider guns their jewellery were declared terrorists, the same army has now been thought of as a terrorist sympathizer, how can an army become terrorist killer to terrorist sympathizer

there is not wrong with army the heads of few generals who control it.., the army has no face to show to any people whether it be the 95% pakistanis or 5% liberals

.
some of members are mad or fools......just believing the person who himself is not loyal to pakistan(najam sethi).........i can prove.......where PAK army have asked for investigation so what the hell people think that ISI is involved....... a criminal don't ask for prosecution after the crime..... use your damn brain.......and as far as lal masjid is concern.......yes the operation was misconducted but the people inside were as responsible as people outside....... so no sympathies for any weapon carrier who by force implement islam...... so any so called intellectual should try to analyze the situation then talk.......... and don't blame army............as we are also part of it....... so think before you talk.......

.
Indeed, who killed Saleem Shahzad?

The best way to know is a Judicial Enquiry.

Is it being contemplated?

I hope it is

That will solve some of the mystery.
