Who is the King of Jungle? Tiger or Lion

This is a long standing debate.Right from early Greeks who used to pit them one against another to the modern environmentalists, This remains an open question.The answer to this question not only varies one person to another but also varies with geographies.We, in the Indian subcontinent and all land East to it, swear by the undisputed king of jungle-Tiger. Here Sher means Tiger.But in the western society and their culture, Lion represents the King of the jungle.(I don't know about middle east)

I believe Tiger is and should be the rightful king of the jungle.Due to following.

1. Tiger is the heaviest and strongest cat weighing up to 300KG(Highest being 387 kg). Lion at max can weigh 250kg but average between 180-190Kg.
2. Tiger jaw strength is 1000psi while Lion's is only 600psi.
3. Tiger hunts alone but Lion hunts in packs.
4. Tough Lion is taller than Tiger but Tiger is longer than Lion.Tiger can stand on its hind legs and fight like a boxer but Lion has weak hind legs and can not stand on them.

So guys what do you think? You are in camp Lion or Camp Tiger.

Bro, most tigers and lions stay away from each other. They have HUGE territories. No need to be stepping over each other.

In a fight, even the victor would rarely survive from the mauling he will get.

The mane does not have to be admantium. It fills the tiger's mouth and prevents him from getting the final hold on the lion's jugular. Long enough (he needs to keep shifting his hold) for the lion to get his death hold.

As I can tell you from my pretty vast experience with dogs, a death hold is rarely or ever released.

You regularly see lion on lion fights for dominance and mating rights to the pride of lionesses.

A tiger is a lone hunter. Or max a pair of brothers.

Very rarely if at all you hear of or even see a tiger on tiger fight. Tiger on lion even less.

So yes, the lion is a fighter. The tiger is a hunter.

The tiger rarely if ever takes on a predator his own size.

A lion does it all his life, mauling and killing challengers (younger by the day as the years move on), till the day he loses and is killed or banished mortally wounded from his pride.

Tigers are stronger and perfect killing machines. They pray on big animals alone, which lions only can kill when they are in form of groups.

But one on one with adult male lion, they can't hold neck of lion because of heavy mane. Tiger mainly kills by neck bite.
