Who Are The Rohingya Of Myanmar?

.
What is your view on this?
Myanmar don't want them. Is Bangladesh want to take them?

.
Burmese: Dark illegal Bengalis
Bangladeshis: F***ing illegal refugees
Indians: Illegal Muslim lungis

Depends who you ask. One thing for sure, they're some stateless people.

I think we can suspect some people from the government is behind these.
From all around the world, we can notice from time to time, some government use this ethic and religion issue to control the people in 'democratic' way.

By open up the country, adopt the democratic system and capitalism, you can easily marginalize certain group of people if you know how to play the game. Also receive less restriction from around the world (sanction from the west), because the country is democratic = GOOD.

As there is no significant representation for those stateless people, i seriously doubt this problem can be solved in near future.
Just like those stateless people in Malaysia (opps.)

Bangladesh want to take them?

We will take every legal BD immigrants but not whom are not ours. UN and other international organiztions can temporarily settle them in BD. But international powers have to enforce MM to take them back. I personally prefer MM should hand over half of Arakan to BD for Rohingya resettlement.

Myanmar is strategically very important country for Bangladesh. On all 3 sides we have land border with India, only other country we have border with is Myanmar, a few hundred miles. This common border is a huge strategic asset for Bangladesh, for connecting with ASEAN and China via upcoming road and railway under Chinese sponsored Belt and Road initiative in this region.

For this reason, I believe Bangladesh should solve its problems with Myanmar, once and for all, by accepting all Rohingya's who number around 1 million that currently stay in Myanmar. While we do that, we can ask OIC, ASEAN, UN, West and other rich developed countries to help relieve our burden somewhat by making FDI investments in Bangladesh by creating infrastructure, housing and jobs for this additional refugee state-less people and solve an intractable regional problem.

I would like to see Myanmar a close ally and friendly neighbor of Bangladesh sharing and enjoying together the benefit of regional growth and development under Chinese leadership and ASEAN integration.

"accepting all Rohingya's who number around 1 million that currently stay in Myanmar"

Kulu is really a nice guy.

I wont even propose this sort of thing. My take is Burma should take their Rohingya and both side should behave themselves. Population transfer is a painful thing.

I appreciate your comments, but I am just being pragmatic which will help Bangladesh. But knowing the current leadership, they will not follow my opinion. Current leadership in Bangladesh is very secular and pro-India and they do not like to increase Rohingya population who are very strong Muslims. Extra refugee burden is of course the biggest concern, like it is in any other country, and specially for a poor country like Bangladesh.

Fvck it,we will take them just send them to Turkiye.
Nothing to do with being Muslim, see it as a humanitarian act.

I appreciate your proposal but comparing the bigger picture that can harm BD. That will just give excuse for India to send their Bengali Muslim population to BD. They are in process to wash off around 4 million people. BD gov's hard stand here just keeping everyone away. These Rohingyas are low number. International orgs should invest in MM for their settlement. BD should improve its relation with MM.

I see, haven't thought that implication before. Can you explain what you mean by "wash off"? If India tries pushing in people it should be time for Awami League to think about switching their loyalty from India to China. This is what people of Bangladesh want as well, we would rather be controlled by China than being controlled by India. AL has almost eliminated any threat from opposition, do you think they will at some point become closer to China than they are to India? China has everything we need - money, weapons and a generous mind to treat us fairly as an allied nation, none of which we can get from India. AL had good use for India so far to consolidate its position, now that India is no longer needed as before, is it possible that AL can dump India now and choose China instead? AL had always been close to Russia and Sino-Russian entente is becoming real now. I believe this will be the winning team in the future. West-Japan-India nexus is going to loose in the end, in my opinion. Note again most of our weapon systems are either from Russia or China. We need the West only for market access and not much else, but over time other markets around the world will grow and become more important in the future.
