White House considering dramatic expansion of travel ban (Pakistani should pay attention)

I am intrigued by one statement in the paragraph, this one:-

While the countries are not listed, the descriptions included do list some indicators. Several countries are listed as not providing the US with “identity information” and presenting a “risk” of “terrorist travel.” One country is an “important strategic partner in the global fight against terrorism” but nevertheless is failing in “identity management” issues. Another country does not “work with the United States on border and immigration security issues.”

Iraq ? KSA ? Pakisan ? Jordan ? or any other guesses ?
Are we even strategic partner with US ?

IMO, Pakistan is no more a strategic partner of USA, India replaced us.

I read this news as its reported by other sites, but none had this description. Is buzzfeednews reliable enough for us to take their word? The paragraph before that says "materials obtained by BuzzFeed News", how would they get a draft material which no other major websites obtained (at least to my knowledge)

Just depends on the author how detailed the reporter goes into explaining -- but yes Buzz Feed so far only one employing the language. But we'll find out in 2-3 weeks the draft goes to Federal Register, etc., and everyone is then able to see it.

Can someone tell me @HAIDER @pakpride00090:

These travel bans only effect students, business and visitor visas and other non-immigration related.

However, if a Pakistani America comes and goes it doesn’t effect them correct?

But that language is clearly pointed towards Pakistan from the way it reads. Because we’ve been labeled “strategic nation” when WOT began.
Nothing but, you check this site for any update https://www.uscis.gov/ . this site is official and update if any change in any immigration or visit related information.

Yup. I check it time to time. I’m think this will effect all new visa applicants, I checked the current ban it doesn’t effect US Citizens or Green Card holders.

. . . . . .
Pakistan is. Iran, Russia, North Korea, Syria are NOT.

We are not an ally of the US. Never have been.

NADRA is the most fvcked up institute in Pak along with a handful of others.

Hundreds and thousands of Afghans have illegally obtained ID cards through NADRA officials in exchange for money.

NADRA database has been hacked and all information is already out there. The database details have also been shared with foreign agencies.

CIA and other spying agencies had a free ride due to NADRA's incompetence.

We have spent a couple of decades on kicking US's *** in Afghanistan. If anyone of us or them, still think that we are strategic partners at any level, he should put his head where sun doesn't shine.

And if US thinks that this threat of visa ban can deter us and we will be successfully coerced into revealing identities of our people and jeopardize the entire struggle in Afghanistan, US should try it. Previous measures didn't work at all.

The US is clutching at straws. They can hide behind India, PTM, BLA and FATF, but it won't get them very far.

LOL at visa ban threat. The US deep state had to begrudgingly restart the military exchange program. This latest move doesn't sound very convincing to me. Especially when you cannot even name the country and have to rely on riddles to communicate to the outside world.

Clearly you don't appreciate the nuances of international relations. Pakistan was a strategic ally of USA for decades. That is a recorded fact. All those US made toys with the military did not end up there because both states were enemies.

As of now Pakistan has a working relationship with USA. The fact is whether people like it or not but Pakistan does have interests that converge with USA. Saudia Arabia has it's face up the Trumpian a*ss and we all know KSA is like a idol to many in Pakistan. This can be seen in if ever push came to shove Pakistan would side with KSA, USA, Israel against Iran and Russia. Note: If push came to shove. Pakistan is beholden to the oil sheeks. He who pays calls the piper. We saw that recently how Pak pulled out of that summit in Malaysia when the sheeks threw a tantrum.
