In Raj we don't need bridges, and IN karachi , Bridges can take 55 Tonne weight. Plus tanks are designed to cross small canals.
Compare ground pressure (kg per square cm), not overall weightI heard that Pakistan was once offered the M1 Abrams back in the 80's. It was rejected because it was too heavy for Pakistani terrain.
So they went for developing the Type-90 family with China.
