What's new

which pakistan army Soldier biopic film would you love to see?

General Tajammul Hussain Malik:

Led a brigade which successfully held Hilli from the onset of the 71 war till even after the official surrender, a whole Indian division. This Indian division further enjoyed support from the Mukhti Bahini, as well as support from the air. Eventually the Indians simply overran Hilli with their vastly superior numbers, but Malik fought right till the end, was eventually captured and then subjected to torture by the Bengalis. His refusal to surrender and decision to go down with his men was nevertheless extremely admirable.

The movie should be on Gen. Zia...because there are more contraceptive thoughts about his work.... Many political parties, Militant groups emerge in his tenure....Pakistan involve in soviet war and start war on terror......

None, we have enough of dramas based on lives of soldiers and army officers and most of them were great. My favorite being Alpha Bravo Charlie, which I saw twice on DVDs and still play some parts of it. ....
tell me one decent drama/tv series/movie other then ABC and its affiliated shows, the recent movie waar or a few isolated documentaries about a few NH soldiers, the truth is that we dont appreciate the Army nearly enough for the sacrifices they are giving, our Army at the moment lacks any form of soft power

I did not mean to say that we should appreciate the soldiers and officers. What I really meant is that we need to shift focus to science and engineering. But of course we should appreciate our armed forces too especially when the media is such a negative criticism. I realise my mistake that i made these two competitors i.e. one or the other but I think both should be done. We still have quite a few dramas and movies about army and soldiers, almost all Nishan-e-Haiders have been filmed, Sunehrey Din, Shahpar, but I saw of them either on youtube or dvds. ....but can you name a single movie or drama about the life of a scientist (real or fictitious) ?

Air Cdre Wlady being an aeronautical engineer with an interesting life story fits the bill perfectly when UPARCO was under his command we were miles ahead of regional peers

Gen Akhter Abdul Rehman, Gen TM, Cap. Colnel Sher Khan are right names but we are missing the basic and most important names which is Air Marshal Noor Khan...

I think first and foremost is Dr AQ Khan. No one else has such a major contribution and none other deserves more than him. I think the S key on your keyboard got stuck.
Do not eat cookies and biscuits while posting comments on pdf or typing :enjoy: (just kidding)

Clearly you havent read about his and Abdus Salam role in convincing ayub to atleast start a civil nuclear program and him sending Pakistani technicians to NASA and establishing Sonmiani and role in our first sounding rocket (Rehbar 1)

But it is nothing as compared to what Dr AQ Khan has done and Dr AQ Khan took a total different approach. Though i say we should make biopics about all of them including Dr Abdus Salam.
