I think you can if you chamber your weapons for the same ammo your opponent has. The British it did with many of their machine guns. Those guns were designed to fire the captured German 7.92 X 57 rounds.

But then you are playing a big gamble here. As you will have to defeat the enemy. This will not be possible if China will be in Delhi within 4 hours

I think Turkey is a secular nation, other wise it would be a strong contender.
Iran would be the most preferred contender in my view due to their strong stand against US.
Pakistan comes next.

The Talibans are only good in the guerilla warfare, but we are talking about the whole military industry here.
