What's new

Which is the real IT superpower – India or China?

Chinese are good Factory workers and Cheap producers of Goods, Software coding skills and english skills are India's advantage.

Indians can manufacture goods with infra development which India is doing right now, But Chinese cannot beat India in this field.

And Chinese cannot do anything on their own.

Our domestic market is not only big but also open.. there is an even share of distribution in India for countries who are willing to compete. By doing this we might not generate money but the technologies we learn are much much better.

It is easy to close all your doors and concentrate just on domestic market.

I am not saying the indian domestic market. Ive made my comments on a global and country perspective

Chinese love to do chest thumping all the time :taz: :omghaha:

indians are the running away champions in this - undisputed!

China's software sector growth rate slows

English.news.cn 2013-06-28 14:43:33

BEIJING, June 28 (Xinhua) -- Software business revenue in China went up 24.2 percent in the first five months of the year from the same period in 2012, but the growth rate was 3 percentage points lower year on year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said.

The growth rate was 1 percentage point lower than that in the first four months, according to the ministry.

Revenue topped 1.1 trillion yuan (178.54 billion U.S. dollars) in the first five months.

The sector's exports stood at 14.1 billion U.S. dollars for the five-month period, up 10.1 percent year on year.

Among the exports, the outsourcing services sector hit 3.36 billion U.S. dollars, up 16.5 percent year on year.

Now what's India's software business revenue in the same period?:coffee:

1/4 of China's maybe?:omghaha:

superpower?

What super power, at this point we are all playing for Third or Fourth, behind US, Japan, EU(depends how you see it).

The fact of the matter is this, we get stereotypes about each other. India is not all call centers, as that isn't even IT. I know Indians get outsourced work, while as a student in canada, I was beaten numerous times for contracts, by Indian freelancers due to price and speed, and at that point, quality. I seen their work, it is quite good.

China gets the reputation of no innovation, which is so untrue and not possible even if desired. IT is problem solving, each problem, I won't say unique, but at least has elements of it. You can't really copy and paste, but innovations is needed.

How do you not innovate if you are faced with a new problem. How does the world's second largest economy get by without innovation.

Sometimes we over look certain aspects of each other.

All in all, China and India is not close to US in terms of Technology, so let's aim for that instead of each other, as playing for second is for kids.

Dont you stay tuned to the conversations above? Thats the point we are trying to make. Your's is not an Open market. No foreign land has a share of your software pie and the Chinese are force feeding its citizens with softwares it produces.:omghaha:

If India were to do so, it would have generated more revenue than the Chinese can only think of. India has a share in every market except chinese and vice versa. Indian expertise in the field of programming is un matched.

India has been asking the Chinese in every high profile meetings, to open your markets for India. It simply cannot afford to compete.

China's annual output value of smartphones alone is probably higher than the total of India's IT hardware industry。

:omghaha::omghaha: You are so damn right.. It should sum it up all and once ..

China does not have English as the official language. India does. Even though I could hardly understand most Indian's English. I usually hang up on Indian's that I can't understand and dial back, hoped that I can get through to an American call center. And sometimes I do. Sometimes, I get through to an Indian that I can understand better. But Indians must be able to discern if they can speak English or not.

there you go.."Indian Especialist"(I don't know much of Aenglishwa either) LOL..joking.Yes,Company hire people with no skill in english, its true, but for only Jharu Pocha and as guard probably.but then again, how do you know who is receiving your call,an Indian or a Pakistani??? and if you don't understand British English, thats not much of a fault of customer care representatives, right???coz the american company hired those employees/companies to do the job,so,they know the best.

topic..

entire bs..Indian It industry produced revenues over $109 bil in 2012.it has provided direct employment to about 2.8 million, and indirectly employing 8.9 million people(Largest in all countries).and it is actually going towards a massive shift.and who told OP that China is ahead of India???The top 10 Chinese information technology services companies have only about 20% share of the market compared with 45% garnered by India's top 10.Top 10 Indian companies exported more software than Russia and China put together.so,please,no comparison...and post data with link, not bs.

So you think India is an open market?

If China was not an open market, how is it possible that western software companies are doing great biz in China? Microsoft, Google, SAP, ARM etc spring to mind.

China does not need calls answered by Chinese-speaking Indians.

By the way, many large Chinese software houses are imbeded in hardware conglomerates. These are not well known to the outside because they are mere subsidiaries and are not publicly traded.

Only a small fraction of the Chinese software industry is listed in contrast to India where the few large IT firms dominate the headlines for mostly low-level programming or call-answering work.

Yes, India has been the super power across the galaxy for 13.8 billion years, no any other country could reach its level. No wonder, people will never understand the world of India. Haha, fabulous, the whole galaxy is under your control.

Some Indians are hallucinating again, must be the smell of freh human excrement in the air. Have some perspective and try rebut with facts and stats. Visit a Chinese city make some Chinese friends then you will understand the penetration of IT in their everyday lives in china.

So you think India is an open market?

Yes it is !

If China was not an open market, how is it possible that western software companies are doing great biz in China? Microsoft, Google, SAP, ARM etc spring to mind.

Great biz? your censorship laws are making them crazy!

China does not need calls answered by Chinese-speaking Indians.

Fortunately, we have better things to do.

By the way, many large Chinese software houses are imbeded in hardware conglomerates. These are not well known to the outside because they are mere subsidiaries and are not publicly traded.

Those are the ones generating you revenues.

Only a small fraction of the Chinese software industry is listed in contrast to India where the few large IT firms dominate the headlines for mostly low-level programming or call-answering work.

Thats ridiculous. Indian's going by the Gild data have outperformed the Americans whereever there was math and logic applied. You are free to say what ever you want, but the facts remain unchanged.

can any one tell me what is IT?is IT simply sofeware outsourcing?
whats the relationship between IT industry & sofeware industry, and sofeware outsourcing?

The reason why India got a lot of software outsourcing is because of Western countries helping India. The Chinese need to be aware that China is now a competitor of west. All west IT companies favors Indian to a large extend.

Even India IQ is 82, it doesn't matter to the west. China has IQ of 100.

And Indians are now taking racism as meritocracy. They have now a dangerous mindset of entitlement. That could be dangerous if western IT companies really hire base on meritocracy.

Indian's moronic IQ as below.
