Come on, there really is no contest. Who would you pick- a project that has been on for years with tech being matured over decades on other platforms and a long and distingushed innovative history or a project born mostly from stolen blueprints and reverse engineering of other's tech with little organic original content?

There's no way China can succesfully go from JF-17 to succesful 5th gen fighter without major steps and time in between.

There's no way China can succesfully go from JF-17 to succesful 5th gen fighter without major steps and time in between.

Russian arm industry is more advance than Chinese so it is believed that they are on upper hand on their 5th gen program. Similarly how russian 4++ SU35bm I rated much better than Chinese 4++ J10b, as China still doesn’t have that much experience in aircraft development as US/ EU/ Russia.

Also, the way US is struggling with its F35/ JSF in its final stage of development, it is foolish to comment on J20 or PAK FA which are still on the early stage of development. Russia/ China haven’t faced those problems yet which have troubled US in the final stage of development of F35. We read too much about the superiority of F35 in mid 2000s but now its look like a crap, as per the news we are getting. Lets see how engineers of Russia/ India and China will be ended up with development of their 5th gen aircrafts

Technologically and weapon wise PAK-FA is 5 times better than J-20. only just 2 country will say otherwise out of rest 200+
