Which country has the best geographical location?

What is a Australian? A Englishman living in the sun. The way you talk is as if they are unique peoples. Majority of Australians are either second, third generation British/Irish descendants.

Prime Minister Julia Gillard migrated with her family from Barry, Glamorgan, Wales in 1966.[13] Her parents hoped the warmer climate would help cure her lung infection.

Another Prime Minister, Tony Abbott, migrated in 1960 under the scheme, although his father had already lived in Australia after arriving at the beginning of the Second World War on a Blue Funnel Liner, and his mother was an Australian expatriate living in Britain at the time of his birth.[14]

England fast bowlers Harold Larwood (in 1950)[15] and Frank Tyson (in 1960) also took advantage of the scheme when they retired from cricket.

The Bee Gees (Gibb brothers) spent their first few years in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester, England, then moved in the late 1950s to Redcliffe in Queensland, where they began their musical careers.[16]
Their location makes them unique, pal. Don't go on a tangent

Turkey and egypt. US for isolation.
US is isolated but it can't use its geographical location for any strategic purpose. Furthermore its not 1945. Missiles can reach there.
Turkey is gate way to euorope and egypt due to suez canal.

USA and Canada both have Oil and best place with lots of other natural wealth ……. And they are dam far away …. Then Australia and NZ...….

It’s a no brainer.

This is not an opinion. Scholars of international relations have studied it and all come to same conclusion.

The country with most advantageous geography is....United States. Hands down.

US has the most navigable river system, making its trade costs much less than rest of the world. US has THE most fertile agricultural land. It’s shielded by two vast oceans. It’s located in the middle of China and Europe...and two biggest trading regions historically.

All go these things are just too much of a blessing for one country. That’s why US is the super power. Geography has a BIG role in it

I think Pakistan has the worst location in terms of political geography.

We have neighbors like gullible Indians on the East, banana republic of Afghanistan on the West and crazy Mullahs on the South-West.

We are surrounded by all kinds of war mongers and crazies who would settle on nothing less than the complete annihilation of Pakistan...

I agree
.. Pakistani geographical location is the most challenging. The Fundamentalist terror hindutva nation to the south is a continuous source of pain and sorrow for Pakistan.

However, if we get out act together... It could become the world most vital and profitable geographical location as well.

The ancient silk route was what empowered this region into a global power... And the modern silk route in the making (CPEC / BRI) can do the same today.

Their location makes them unique, pal.
Their location is unique, not them. Only Abos., are unique, kinnda I guess if overlook the Indian versions.

The US is good, but a little risky, sharing 2 massive land borders.
Threat from Queens loyal subjects from the north or the Taco munchers from south. Not much risk there I should think. Australia is under far more threat from developing Indonesia [or wider East Asia] then USA ever will be.

Ancient warfare it was Saudi Arabia for long time.. No warring empires ever entered the desert hence The city of Allah Makkah was shielded from all these war mongering empires that came and gone

.
Countries located in temperate regions have often outperformed their tropical counterparts, though life teems more as we move towards the equator. All things considered, i vote for USA.
Agreed. However in the past countries that were located around dry river valleys with semi-desert climates tended to do better. Think -

  • Indus Pakistan
  • Nile Egypt
  • Trigris/Eurprates Meso, Iraq/Syria
  • Huang Ho China

All these rivers were cradles of human civilization. It appears over time advantage passed to the temperate regions.

Your kidding me? That is like saying I safe from mugging because I have absolutely no property worth anything. By that measure frozen Antarctic is the best because no invader ever bothered with it.

They all suffer from expansionist delusions they think they all claim parts of Pakistani land - some even have overlapping claims - yet they are still allied to each other like the crazy Afghans & Indians.

And the worst thing about the Afghan is they think they can grab Pakistani provinces but they can’t even control 50% of their territory!

There was alot to desire in Arabia back in the ancient times. But you will have to get thru alot of desert since the cities lay deep into the deserts and this will encourage all invaders.

Come on mann do you think the Arabs could have defended that place if it was fertile land? They couldn't stop Abraha imagine The Mongols, Romans, Greeks, Assyrians, Huns, etc etc.

Allah has placed that city within the desert with WISDOM

Let's beat them at their own game then

Sand and oil had zero value then. Or did I miss something?

They had alot of gold. Quraysh were wealthy as shit back then. tons of gold and silver. Any invader who entered would strictly go after that. But the deserts provided them shield. I don't think it was ever the intention of Allah that city changing hands between multiple conquerors. War is even forbidden in that city

I'm talking pre-islam. The Arabs in that era had wealth even in ancient times and probably the richest group of people in the ancient era. Even as far back as the time of Prophet Ismael the Jurham tribe had hid tons of gold. They naturally had alots of Gold and silver.

There is even an entire Surah talking about the wealth of Quraysh they were extremely wealthy group of people
