United States. Has a weak neighbor to the south that provides decent slave labor in the form of Mexico. I wouldn't say Canada is weak but it shares similar culture and race with the United States. Canada is also fairly peaceful and shares the same world view as the United States. So, in the recent times and the distant future Canada will not attack United States. On the east and west side is surrounded by ocean. United States is also very rich in natural resources. America has the perfect Geography for empire building or Nation building.
Also America has every type of topography and climate in its country which is also advantageous. With modern farming and irrigation it managed to farm large areas of land that had never been farmed before like the mid west/ southern states. Especially the plain areas of mid west. America can grow any types of food in the world because of this. It also wastes a shit load of food which is unfortunate.
I think Pakistan has the worst location in terms of political geography.
We have neighbors like gullible Indians on the East, banana republic of Afghanistan on the West and crazy Mullahs on the South-West.
We are surrounded by all kinds of war mongers and crazies who would settle on nothing less than the complete annihilation of Pakistan...
Good but too isolated. USA wins. Sufficiently distant to give protection but via oceans open to access with two global economic poles that are powerhouses. Western Europe [Atlantic world] on one side, China/Japan [Pacific world] on other. Good as it gets.Australia
True but Australia would have been a major power, sadly it played backstage to the Europeans and Americans. A crime in my opinion.Good but too isolated. USA wins. China/Japan, South Korea USA Western Europe, Mediteranean
Australia etc Europe
What is a Australian? A Englishman living in the sun. The way you talk is as if they are unique peoples. Majority of Australians are either second, third generation British/Irish descendants.True but Australia would have been a major power, sadly it played backstage to the Europeans and Americans.
