Which Aircraft Will Replace the Mirage 5PA3 in the Naval Aviation for PAK Navy

I doubt the Mirages were used in the ASW role!!!
Indeed Mirages are for antiship role, not ASW. For ASW PN's prime asset are P-3s, then Z-9Cs on board F-22P are also capable of both AShW and ASW.

PAF getting 150 thunders is Pak navy get separate or out of those 150

JH 7 is very good option it carries heavy payload

I guess the PAF going on TV with a program on te JF-17 and its role at masroor was not enough for people to ask the same question again and again.
Humans are forgetful creatures, better to just let it happen, and then close the thread if it gets too trollish.

But what will PAF/ PN use to defend themselves from ghe mosquitoes in the air. And while you re at it please tell us how will PAFand PN defend themselves when dhotis come flying in the air at supersonic speed fully loaded and sea skimming supersonic lladed dhotis come our way. You took on the title of allama Oscar Bhopali not me!

We have Khasrat Tahir Shah RiA(Ridiculous Aadmi) to protect us.

JH 7B is a better reliable option

Naval budget should be increased

(Not going to happen, but a very pretty aircraft nonetheless)

12 tons worth of ordnance and long, long range

For PN, only JF-17 is best. 40+ JF-17 for PN arriving soon.

When do you guys expect Block-III to enter service and are Thunders air-refueling capable yet?

@Quwa @Penguin

On topic: Correct me if I'm wrong, but PN doesn't have a fighter fleet yea? I thought PAF operates their jets in maritime role to support PN? Doesn't it make the whole thread rather redundant? Apologies in advance if I'm wrong.

Good Day all!

Here is our only real option. A JF-17 variant for the navy that is fitted for ASW roles. Good thing is the JF-17 can already carry a wide array of weaponry including the CM-400AKG anti-ship missile. Though the Trade off isn't the best. The JF-17 block 2 currently is inferior in most aspects compared to the MIG-29K. Probably similar to the initial MIG-29's that rolled out in the 80-90's. Hopefully the Block 3 can actually be current with the worlds top 4.5+ gen fighters. Because as of now we will be blasted out of the sky against MIG-29UPG's and Rafale's.

Let's just say it's inferior to a mig 29 in all aspects. It's something that has a chance against tejas atm... not quite there with the mig29... yeah it can win but he pilot has to be really experienced/aced up

Nevertheless great going. I am a fan of this project and hopefully Pakistan starts thinking about 5th gen?

No idea.

PN doesn't have its own fast jets. PAF flies naval strike. Just like India has some Jaguar IM and Su-30MKI dedicated to this role. Still, even PAF could acquire dedicated (naval) strike aircraft. Or PN could start a squadron.
