Instead of Mr. Mamnoon, if the sitting president (ceremonial or not is irreverent) was a respectable figure, highly educated, an outstanding achiever in his life, it would have made difference, a big difference. Ceremonial president does not mean that you are good for nothing. If Pakistan had Mr. Zakir Hussein (PhD of Economics), or Mr. M Hidayatullah (LL.D., D. Litt.), or Mr. Shankar D. Sharma (Ph.D.), Mr. Pranab Mukherjee (MA, LL.B), these personalities would prove an asset, and government or apposition, both would listen to them. Instead, what we have got? Mr. Mamnoon Hussien, educational achievements = unknown; intellectual achievements = non-existent; family background = shoe trader.

@Chak Bamu even though you have deleted your post but I had read it. Your thread was made later, you added no politics later etc. You need to get some fresh air and stop blaming others. This is a forum and everyone has the right to say whatever they want.

I was forced to add that later because PTI trolls like yourself can not keep themselves from dragging everything into a specific direction even on something as neutral and emergent as Extreme Flood in River Chenab. Twice I asked people to avoid politics but it had no effect. You were talking about blaming the government for not having dams on River Chenab!!! Even after two admonishments you stubbornly continued with your train(wreck) of thought without any feeling of having broken rules or embarrassment. This is what you people learn form your leaders.

Second I was replying to someone else comments that who should take blame, third I never said you can build dams on Chenab but now come to think of it maybe we can and I also said etc which means barrages and other stuff. You have deleted my post the first time you gave me warning was close to the time I replied to the previous comment so I didn't saw it and you never gave me a second warning. You are too stubborn to realize your own mistake.

Well I think Chuk Bamu has a valid point we all need to evaluate the problem a bit and before coming to conclusion

A good point was raised that dams are not possible in the region effected sadly I am not in engineering DAM business but its a good knowledge share.

However lets hope for best solution to resolve the problem.

@Al Bhatti @Syed.Ali.Haider something like this can be done it wouldn't hold much water but if many small types are made then it can be effective. Also soil need to be taken under consideration so if it cannot hold water then it needs to be altered too. Between as we have been warned already so no more talking about floods, I just wanted to let you guys know
