Where did the U.S. go wrong in Afghanistan?

. . . .
Not understanding you cant reform a s...thole like that
I clearly remember Pakistan trying to convince the US that it was a great mistake to go to war. Washington never listened and the American people paid a heavy price wasting $Trillions and the men and women of the US armed forces needlessly lost their lives and suffered life changing injuries. And we can't even begin to imagine the death, the injuries, the suffering and the damage the Afghan population has faced in 18 years. We mustn't forget Pakistan too.

.
They went wrong by invading. Afghans don't take kindly to being invaded.

They forgot to imagine themselves in the shoes of the Afghans. What would a country of hillbillies do if their region was invaded.

"For them this is just some place, but for us this is our home"

Rambo said it best; Afghans "Don't take any $h1t"

Hi,

You innocent pakistani boys---US never had a goal to conquer---. Afghanistan would be the bease from where the US military would start the destruction of muslim countries---1---2---3---4--5---1 by 1.

They have succeed.

Why don't they fck off then, LoL, do they enjoy being pegged.

Pakistan is the main reason they don't want to leave---.

Pakistan slipped away from their hands.

They bought out Gen Kiyani---. Thru him they brought in Zardari---and then they made the coupe de grace by bringing in the Master---Nawaz and Shahbaz Sharif's---.

But luck was on pakistan's side---that Nawaz got thrown out---.

The Hussein in Obama tried to help pakistan take charge of the GCC and change the course of action---but Gen Raheel never had the ability to understand the gift Obama was giving and for what reasons---. Later the General regreted his failure badly---. Just did not understand it---.

See---we assume that war must bring victory---. The US has moved away from that a long time ago---.

The 1st gulf war was to save the armor divisions of the US military---because the german wall had come down and there was no enemy---so an enemy wa needed---so 1st gulf war---.

The 9/11 happened---it gave the US a foot and army back in the region---all newly developed weapons needed to be tested and re-tested---so Iraq became an excuse---. And then new venues kept opening up---.

Never has the world seen so many devastating conventional weapons in the last 19 years than the last 4 decades put together---.

There is nothing in Afghanistan to conquer. It’s just a walkway a stopover for conquerers. From Central Asia/ Persia into India and vice versa.

You have a very vivid imagination.
