When will we see Pakistan Army in the top ten of this ranking?

A lot of the people here keep thinking that fighting spirit or perceived greatness is a ranking factor, it isn't. You can't measure fighting spirit as it strengthens and wanes with time. Quick example, France entered WW1 with great spirit, yet was sapped of any energy or morale by the time WW2 started.

Mentioning the Taliban or Vietcong is a waste of time as those are asymmetrical foes. These rankings rank symmetrical conventional forces. Is Taliban on the list? I don't think so. Although I completely agree that rankings don't mean good performance at all.

The countries ranking higher than Pakistan probably have better equipment and numbers, although Iran surprises me because of the embargoes against it. It is true that strategies, tactics, and logistics are key to victory, but these are military secrets so it's impossible to rank or compare them.
