When Will Tehran Stop Enrichment Of Sedition?
THE Iranian nuclear program is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of its relationship with its neighbors and the world. Perhaps, the problems and predicaments caused by Tehran’s regime over the last three decades are much more dangerous and serious than the nuclear weapon. This weapon has become a burden for them rather than a source of strength.
Since 1979, Iran has been moving from worse to worst, whether in its relationship with the neighboring countries and the world or the sectarian seditious speech which destroyed relationships in its community. This was before its transformation into a mobile mine that explodes randomly every day; killing hundreds in Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Pakistan and other countries. This happened due to its intrusion that causes civil wars, as well as its calls with a tone the Islamic world has detested since 1,350 years ago.
Now that Iran is commemorating Ashoura Day, it must reflect on the teachings and ideas of Prophet Mohammad’s (PBUH) household, as well as that of Hussein bin Ali — may Allah be pleased with them. This is if Iran is really striving towards establishing good relations with its neighbors and attaining solidarity with the Islamic world. Iran’s leadership should learn from the Prophet (PBUH) and his two grandsons — Hassan and Hussein, may Allah be pleased with them. It should stop instigating sedition that has prompted Muslims to kill one another.
A few days ago, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani invited the Vatican Pope to start the Islam-Christian dialogue in a bid to tackle the religious views of the followers of the two religions, in addition to combating extremism and terrorism.
Despite the positive aspect of Rouhani’s invitation, it would have been better if he called for Islam-Islam dialogue to end decades of sedition promoted by Tehran. He should also call for Persian-Arab dialogue to ease the tension, wariness and suspense; not only between the two shores of the Arabian Gulf, but also between the Arab world and Iran.
The Iranian leadership should have knocked on the dialogue doors with its close neighbors. It must not go far while leaving its surroundings in destruction which instigates sectarian feuds fueled by the ignorance type of speech. Where is Iran from the Dark Age?
Iran does not need nuclear weapon as we mentioned in previous occasions. Perhaps, Iran did not learn from North Korea which rendered its people to starvation; it did not learn from Israel whose nuclear arsenal has become a nightmare, because the weapon has neither protected the country nor gave it the ability to dominate the Arab world.
Therefore, the atomic bomb which Iran has been striving to possess will not make them occupy Riyadh, Kuwait, Doha or Abu-Dhabi. It will never give them the ability to install the fifth line of defense in Manama in order to achieve its objectives. On the contrary, this bomb, in case Iran manages to produce it; will only make it more isolated, while worsening the economic crisis and impoverishment of its people. It would have been possible for Iran — this great nation — to become the pearl of the region if its leadership has taken the proper Islamic course since the success of its revolution against the Shah to this very day. It should have strengthened coordination in industries, agriculture and development with all countries in the region; instead of exporting spy cells, terrorists and extremists, in addition to orchestrating conspiracies among people of the same nation to incite civil wars.
Iran continues to offer great services to the enemy (Israel), while claiming to fight against it to liberate Jerusalem. What has Iran done in this course as we see Israel devouring Jerusalem and transforming it into a Jewish territory?
Whether Iran agrees with the 5 + 1 countries on its nuclear program or not, it will not change anything because the core of the problem is the political attitude of this country; not to mention its destructive attitude and its ambition to dominate the region. It seems unaware that the colonialism and occupation ages are long gone and will never return.
In this era, relations between countries are not based on nuclear programs; they are based on diplomacy and mutual respect. This is in addition to exchange of experiences in the technology world. It is no longer possible for anyone to lie and cheat the other since we are in the 21st century, not the century of the Nazi’s Golbez. It is important for Iran to stop its high-rate uranium enrichment activity. However, it is more important to cease its ‘enrichment’ of sedition and sectarian division. In this region, we are not used to such incidents as we have not witnessed them for centuries.
