What's new

When Sanctions lifted, Pak-Iranian joint military exercises discussed.

.
Our friendship should be with people of Iran rather than just one person. The shah was a great friend of Pakistan, but his removal shouldn't mean we should cut off ties with the entire nation. Did the Saudis cut ties with Pakistan when their friend Nawaz Sharif was removed? Did China break off contact with Pakistan when Bhutto was removed? Mind you, it was Bhutto who came up with the plan of allying with China.

We shouldn't go to war for them, should we? Especially when they're fighting a war they essentially helped start.

.
Sincerely I believe it will be a premature step .... if its true ....

We need to extend training programs for Iranian military if their keen. Lifting of sanctions might also mean that we might be able to sell some military gear to Iran.

If you are thinking what I am thinking.. We should sell them JF-17. They desperately need new fighter planes. Im sure they would love the JF-17 if they could manufacture it in Iran. It would become a reasonably advanced and sanction free airframe for them. Local production of the JF-17 would give them much needed aerospace manufacturing experience and it wouldn't pressurise our production either while allowing us to break into the market.

To All Pakistanis ...

Why you think that Iran is in debt to Pakistan !? What Pakistan done for Iran !?

just keep your military gear for yourself ... we can produce all you can produce , and if we want to buy more advance stuffs , there are original arm exporter around the world ...

your arrogance toward my country is just laughable ....

you know , we are paying for all things ... we are in no debt when we pay in cash ... no one help us for free ... and selling your used first generation centrifuge is nothing that you should consider as help ....

.
and selling your used first generation centrifuge is nothing that you should consider as help ....

ya off course that was just a simple 'SALE & PURCHASE' deal ...

well , if that centrifuge was new it was great , but you guys sold us a second hand centrifuge that you used to enrich uranium to levels needed for making bomb , and traces of that uranium made a lot of problem for us.

Iran's nuclear program wouldn't even exist without Pakistan. Same goes for North Korea. It's all well documented.

And when you would have used centrifuges for your own needs, then traces of Uranium wouldn't have been there? What kind of logic is that? Centrifuges are for enriching uranium in the first place!

no the traces would remain there in fact those radiation even can be measured several years later even if you use the
centrifuge for something else.
and it took us several year to prove IAEA that those highly enriched uranium there had a foreign origin and then it was late
because this was one of the issues that made IAEA refer our nuclear programs to the rulling board and consequently to
the UNSC .

I don't know about sanctions on arms and whether they are going to be lifted with other ones, but if we can but jets, I think we should go for at least Su-30 and at best Su34s, we need more modern aircraft.

We can hold some joint exercises and exchange of units/experience/arms and a lot of other fields, life fighting terrorism. There is a lot that can be done, if only there is the will.

But how do you know that Iran wasn't enriching Uranium itself?
Besides, even if there were no traces, US would still have cried about Iran's nuclear program. It had nothing to do with whether or not Iran was making nuclear weapons. Iran having a nuclear program, peaceful or not, was simply unacceptable to USA.

they could cry , but they had no case to refer the program to UNSC .
also the Iaea later acknowledged those traces belonged to previous enrichment in Pakistan.
