I think we are a bit soft but not as much you think. See Pakistan is fencing the durand line regardless of their screaming and squealing. Establishment more than PM IK.
These compromises on principles and strange games which establishment plays have led us into the mess we find today. If there was an elected parliament in place instead of the dictator Musharraf, Pakistan would have never joined the war of terror despite all the pressure.

Remember, the parliament declined to join Yemen war which was so distant from Pakistan and demand came from our traditional brothers but the parliament unanimously decided not to join the massacre of Yemeni people so going by this example, I'm 100% sure that the parliament would have declined to join the US war of terror against Islam & Pakistan as well. But unfortunately, we had a dictator in power.

If we did not join that war, we might have faced some sanctions but we already had faced sanctions so it won't be something new. However, there won't be any TTP, no such a large scale terrorism through the country...we won't have lost €200 billion of the economy etc.
