When Pakistan tried to become a superpower

I never heard any Pakistani talking about dominating Central Asia, it usually come from people of Central Asian origin like Afghan and now this Caspian report guy, First i heard this Pakistan wanting to dominate till Amu darya from Afghan National Security Adviser Hamdullah Mohib when he was speaking at some Yankee Think tank bitching about Pakistan to earn some dollars for his puppet regime, at most i heard people discussing union of Pakistan and Afghanistan on PDF only its never been a subject on mainstream social media let alone National media..

all we want is brotherly relations with mutual respect of sovereignty.

Pakistan achieving unity with religion. I gotta say its impressive when us Turks failed to do it hence why we embraced ethnic nationalism.

Ottomans tried many times to unite the Muslims in the empire but it backfired. Because all the ethnic groups in the empire wanted their own country regardless if they were Muslim or Christian.

Both Pakistan and Turkey were superpowers in the past 500 years. Iran an even longer time ago.

Actually, its other way round.

We are basically an ancient civilization, centred around the river Indus. Study Indus valley civilization. It was three times bigger and more powerful, more ancient then Babylon and Egypt. Persians are relatively new kids on the block.

What is an Israeli interest in all of this? Care to shed some light?
Calm down man what does his interest in this region have anything to do with him being Israeli, we need to be more accepting of others thats why we have an open forum, and he isn't anti Pakistan.

Its easy to make a video with half truths to reach on to the conclusion.

The architects of this plan or lack of it, were all "removed" in a plain crash by "international establishment" and their local petdogs. The infamous C-130. Followed by internal chaos unleash on Pakistan in the form of Bhutto clan leftovers and newly established Shareef clan, who were not only utterly incapable to think on a bigger canvas, instead completely U-turned Pakistan strategic policies, ofcourse on behalf of the same "international establishment" who were their main backers.

What Pakistan need is a solid , tunnelled vision, goal oriented "establishment" who work to preserve the ideology of Pakistan and keep on recycling the rubbish within who do not agree and not onboard totally with what Pakistan should be/ meant to be. This soup of Islamic socialism (As inspired by Jinnah) with "tarka" of ultra liberal brown shahibs is madness. Keep on following this path and you will have the likes of C130 crashes in future as well. Back to square one.

Chinese believe in their system with zero compromise and look where they are now. Question is, do we believe our "Islamic" republic of Pakistan to be a Islamic socialist state aka riyasat-e-Madina?

Where did you get the impression that I am not calm? If he has an interest in this region I have interest too in knowing why? Don't be so quick to jump on conclusions?

That's eventual end game of Pakistan, may be not a federation but EU style union. How much it will be extended and which countries will eventually join is debatable. But count Afghanistan in already...

Why have an interest in him having an interest in Pakistan and you can't just say that you have a general interest in everything because than you should have asked me having an interest in you having an interest in him having an interest in pakistan.
If this is too much to process just let me know.

What i say and how i say, please dont try to teach me that. I have not violated any rules nor do i need to justify to anyone. You are making an issue out of nothing, thus derailing the thread. So may i suggest to hit the report button and move along.

Recently I saw a video on a channel named Caspian Report titled 'When Pakistan tried to become Superpower'.

In video they explain the era of 1990 and explain how Pakistan tried to expand if sphere of influence in Central Asia and supposedly had a plan to merge newly independent Central Asian countries in itself.

As a person who has interest in geopolitics I never know that Pakistan had such a plan. Nevertheless it's always a great idea to have much needed strategic depth in case of Pakistan to level the field with India and not a bad idea of merger overall.

I don't know much on topic so creating the threat for discussion and some insight on topic

This is just stupid speculations. Pakistan at the time could hardly control its own western section, let alone controlling and influencing the whole of central asia. Pakistan never had the financial or military might to do so. So anyone thinking Pakistan wanted to take over those areas is an utter moron. It is also a known fact that CARs having been under USSR were non religious and very secular, Pakistan had no plans to make them religious. This guy has no idea what he is talking about. Pakistan as any other country does want peace in its neighborhood and good business relations.

He is talking about the early 90s when Russians were bankrupt, these nations needed support and trade links and we did gave them loans. Plans were being made to connect them by Motorways and Rail links. Afghanistan was pretty much controlled and bank rolled by Pakistan and its Arab allies.

I am also talking about the same time. We couldnt even control our tribal areas. Yes we wanted connections and business and good relations. But equating that to "trying to become superpower" or annexing the whole central asia or expanding the boundaries is immature and stupid speculations on part of the video maker.
