What's your Opinion on :US seeks 10% cut in economic assistance to Pakistan

Pakistan does not need any aid. US, please leave us alone.

Instead of hiding behind US flags and pretending an American, why not you show your real identity and then slang mud as other Indians do.

the ONLY interest we have in Pakistan is to ensure curtailment of terrorism. Had Pakistan performed truthfully to their end of the wot, it'd have been over in 2002! unfortunately Pakistan only provided lip service. Don't blame us for your doublecross.

The truth is that the Americans are bitterly divided and confused on Pakistan. It's a huge dilemma for them. A certain segment in the US views Pakistan as a useful tool. Another section, views Pakistan with suspicion. Both camps are wrong in my opinion. Pakistan isn't a tool which should be used or ditched at convenience. Pakistan is an independent and sovereign nation. Additionally, much has happened over the past decades. You'll see a goodwill i.e. carrot gesture once in a while followed by a ludicrous stick gesture. Although, their carrot and stick approach has failed and backfired quite miserably. First, they teamed up with Pakistan during the Cold War. After the Cold War they ditched everyone and couldn't care until the 9/11 attacks. We all know what followed after that. They once again required Pakistan's assistance. This relationship has predictably been on a ventilator since then.

Without pointing any fingers, this relationship requires a total reset. Currently, it's beset by a lot of mistrust, anger and confusion. I've said this before and will reiterate. The Americans need to stop treating Pakistan like a client state like they always have. A client state which according to the Americans can be bought and influenced by aid/threats. This isn't possible and the Americans know it. The Americans need to remain realistic and stop creating dis-balance in an already volatile region by arming certain countries to the teeth. It's going to backfire.

On the other hand, Pakistan needs to have a clear strategy i.e. stance regarding their foreign policy. That means no more subservience towards a particular country regardless of whether that pleases or displeases anyone. Pakistan must come first at any cost. Pakistan should rid all miscreants/terrorist outfits from its territory which it already is doing valiantly. Every inch of Pak territory should be under the control of the state. The notion of no-go areas needs to end. The tribal areas need to be reintegrated with the rest of the country. Enough is enough. Every effort needs to be made to control the porous border with Afghanistan. A hell of a task, but the political will in Pakistan doesn't seem to be equipped nor capable of addressing these strenuous issues. The bitter truth is that the Pak army is once again entrusted with the duty to look after Pakistan. They will deliver like they always have. No doubt. Shame the politics isn't living up to expectation.

you're right about Pakistan being a dilemma but that stage has been crossed two years ago; now the only debate in here is about how best to recalibrate and manage the regional relationships, having had to write Pakistan off.

Your accusation of being treated as a client state is wrong in most parts. Pres.Bush reposed tremendous trust in Pakistani government of that time and even agreed to Strategic Partner status. Unfortunately such faith was repaid with jihadi doublecross of accommodating several terrorist groups inside Pakistan with full military view and assistance - the capping reveal being the aiding and abetting of America's #1 wanted terrorist Osama in your military center.

Can you blame the US or any other for not trusting any words public or private coming out of Pakistan?

Had US not invaded Afghanistan would we be in this mess at first place? Wherever your country goes all they bring is bloodshed and increase in terrorism. Your country is out to destroy this world.

On the topic.
we want $0 from you guys please stop that money pack up and leave this region coz we know the longer ur forces stays here the more bloodshed we'll have in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Please leave.

. . . .
giving aid to Pakistan has only resulted in avoidable loss of American money and lives. There is no effective way to monitor what they do with the money and they have perfected the art of using terrorism as an effective aid-multiplier. Let's use the money instead to help Haiti or Bangladesh where the disasters are nature made as opposed to Pakistan's man made ones.

Let China and India deal with Pakistan

you befriended us on your will, you can only leave us when we let you :)

.
and why was Afghan invasion necessary? you forgot 9/11 and the series of attacks preceding that. you forgot Pakistani agencies enabling fund transfers and arms transfers for Al Qaeda and a dozen other terrorist jihadi nut factories in Pakistan and Afghanistan without which they couldn't have recruited and planned. Will you blame the country that aided and abutted terrorism or the one that took them on? My country is what saving the world from barbaric islamic fundamentalists. Why don't your country and similar ones learn to stop these nuts so that we don't have to? You cannot do your job so we have to.

And yes, why don't your country learn basic principles of honesty and do what they took money from us to do instead of biting the hands that fed you?

what a delusional life you are life living mate. that ALQAIDA you are talking about was CREATED i say it again Created by your country funded by your country and was used against USSR so own up the shit you have created. same as alqaida you guys supported SADAM he was your favourite guy. you guys attacked Iraq and destroyed the whole country for what?? just coz of oil the whole world knows this you don't want to believe it then don't. FSA in syria was supported by your country which later became ISIS and look what have they done to those two countries. you guys have attacked more countries then any other country of this planet ( JAPAN, VIETNAM, IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN) and killed more human beings then even hitler had killed and yet you come here lectures us about terrorism and supporting them???
we never had a single suicide bomb blast before 2001 but since you guys have brought your dirty feet to our lands now its happening everyday.
and one more thing about honesty mate do you know where the killer of those 142 kids killed few weeks ago residing?? in afghansitan. and who is in control of afghanistan??? your freaking country, tell me about the honesty my foot.
we don't need your honesty neither do we need your money get your asses out of this region so it could become stable again and people start to live normal lives again.

Obviously you have attempted to denial of the obvious since facts are not on your side.

~ USA stopping Soviets from taking over Afghanistan and subsequently Pakistan was to stop the spread of communism in the region; in that respect we saved your skin from the bear and you should be in gratitude. You should have been fighting for your sake to protect your mother land without us having to pay you. Yet you took our money. Alright, once that was done, what did Pakistan do with these mujahideen? You had this foolish notion of using them against Afghanistan and India for your territorial ambition. Clearly you proved incapable of controlling your own foolishness, greed and people. Don't blame us for creating Al Qaeda - blame your military and ISI and yourself for that immoral stupid act of wanting to and trying to sustain terrorism for your greed.

~ we went after Saddam Hussein in Iraq because he turned into a genocidal monster that gassed 100s of thousands of his people, and that too after months of warnings to allow inspection of his weaponsry. Like you he was also quite dumb to believe that he can ignore our warnings - fortunately for you, Musharraf proved to be a bit smarted and saved your country and his own hide unlike Saddam

~ You must be an absolute numbskull if you think USA went to war with Japan on its own; haven't you heard of pearl harbor?

If Pakistan had shown the minutest bit of honor and dignity and not lied to us about terrorists in their own employ even while taking our money greedily for fighting them, the wot would have been over in weeks. There would have been no taleban or al qaeda left in AfPak to commit Peshawar. Your greed, foolishness and immoral territorial ambitions are what made your own people into monsters in your own country that now kill your own people.

what an utter rubbish. you helped us against USSR to avenge the embarrassing defeat you faced in vietnam not that you cared for us so don't redicule me and stop watching too much fox news. my country's government and army aren't angels but neither is yours you backstabbed us over and over and over despite we have always taken your side against any other country since our independence. now when you play double game with us by sending in 1000's of your spies to do covert operation in my country do not expect us to be fair with you. you guys are menace you respect no freaking country things like honesty and friendship doesn't value and doesn't exists in your diary. you haven't even spared your allies your spieing on every country's head. and that money you keep on bragging about first of all it was for making your stupid war as ours which we are still suffering from having lost 50,000 people to it. and i hate my fucking leaders for dragging us into this mess.

and for that saddam shit you are feeding us about you are a fucking moron fed with fox news. HE WAS A YOUR FUCKING BOY why the **** did you even give him all the weapons in first place?? and thats what you guys do create menaces and use them and then fucking dump them examples are every fucking where.
secondly who the **** you guys are to decide which country should have weapons which country shouldn't?? why do you freaking have a right to keep weapons of mass distractions and not anyone else?? so you can go and bomb them easily fuckwit.
and where the heck are those weapons of mass distraction anyway for which you bomb the shit out of whole country making it the mess they are in today???
you foolish **** did you hear what i said to you about that fucking new TTP playboy under your nose in afghanistan and you are talking about we keeping terrorists??? that fucking guy is present in affghanistan you have been playing this game since the very first fucking day.
and why don't you guys stop giving us money??? why don't you???

This is exactly what I mean. This blame game from the US in particular is never going to stop. We don't really care though. This also proves my point that Pakistan and the US shouldn't have a relationship of any sort. We know for a fact that prior to the US invasion of Afghanistan, Pakistan was peaceful compared to the carnage that followed. The US invasion of Afghanistan meant bloodshed, carnage and more Afghan refugees for Pakistan. No amount of US blame game can deny this fact.

Let me very blunt about the US Pakistan relationship. It's the most treacherous and hypocritical relationship in its current shape. There will never be any trust and improvement between the US and Pakistan as long as this relationship remains a transactional one.

you're right about Pakistan being a dilemma but that stage has been crossed two years ago; now the only debate in here is about how best to recalibrate and manage the regional relationships, having had to write Pakistan off.

I request your country to write Pakistan off immediately. Stop providing aid to Pakistan. Also, stop calling Pakistan an ally. In fact, I dare you. Frankly, we don't care what debates are held in your country regarding Pakistan. You have been holding debates and making predictions about Pakistan ever since its existence. Most of those predictions and debates haven't meant much. Most Pakistanis outrightly reject this duplicitous relationship. The aid that your country provides is only meant to bribe the top echelon in this country. You have done a pretty good job at that. Your country only requires dirty services from Pakistan. This is a well established fact now. This has always been the case since the Cold War.

The majority of Pakistani people overwhelmingly reject the US and their own government for holding onto such a bogus relationship. The majority of Pakistanis don't consider the relationship with the US as productive nor helpful for their country. Pakistan has always paid in blood. Yes, we partly blame your country for the innocent blood spilled in our country. For the record, we also acknowledge that our own government and institutes are partly responsible for this mess. Although, the US cannot wash its hands off and pretend that it is innocent.

We blame the US for keeping such a duplicitous relationship in tact despite their grievances and accusations levelled against Pakistan. If Pakistan is that evil, bad, monstrous etc. kindly terminate this relationship. The sooner the better.

There should be no American aid to Pakistan.

It's easy to say that from your house in Australia, but some people here rely on USAID to get their children education or just get food.

.
@Dalit - you are the perpetrator of the duplicity so your attempts to play victim is just sad and futile. Even after getting caught red handed with osama under your militaries care and nurture, you should be ashamed to even try. It is such utter lack of principles and dignity that leads to the condition that Pakistan is in today.

I'm keeping my eye on you. Only thing worse than a useless waste of space troll, is one troll who's in denial so doesn't like to cross forum limits.

Continue your little game here and I'll be rid of you myself.

Stop speaking as if those flags mean anything. I will specially request for your flags to be changed so you can stop bsing us here.

Again, you've accused the Pakistanis security forces of creating al Qaeda, with 0 proof, 0 evidence, 0 substance. Kiss your sorry behind goodbye.

Is it not true that the Pakistani intelligence did play a hand in supporting Al Qaeda during the Afghan war? I'm a little hazy on this thing, but I recall us having connections with rebel leaders openly friendly with Osama Bin Laden.

Pakistan should simply say no to any us aid. China will help them in every field. Recent withdrawal from power projects by China is Indian conspiracy.

I wanted to say the same but thought it would be arrogance on our part. For way too long you guys have been dependent on this aid and it is time to unshackle from their burden of cooperation.

Too many lives have been lost and the damage to your economy is staggering. You have gained too little in the process.
