rehearsal for next planet of apes movieIs this really a serious military exercise? Can someone throw light?
Yeh tau koi baandar tamaasha lag raha hae.
This looks somewhat similar. British infantry bayonet training:
I think this exercise is taught at their military academy to cadets.its compulsoryIs this really a serious military exercise? Can someone throw light?

No. There appears to be some difference. Indian one is very funny and comic. I still think that that one is not some training, but some sort of caricature play for fun.
The first bit of the video is Indian army, the second bit where the soldiers are charging bayonet is the BD Army and their bayonet training looks similar to what the British infantry are doing in the video I posted.
Also look at the second video I posted, seems like the Gurkha are training.
You are right. But I am talking only about the original video of this thread. That to me does no appear to be some somber military exercise.
It does actually look like serious training to me. In post 8 I have used a second video, look from 2.50 onward, that clearly looks like Indian Army Gurkhas are training and that looks exactly like the original video in the OP.
One this BD, Pakistan and Indian army has common is the we have all inherited training from British army, so similar things should be there in Pak army too. I will see if I can find any video of Pak army bayonet training.
OK. May be, I am mistaken, but still .....
