What's new

What’s Pakistan's Hindustan problem?

What would you do with Kashmir if you had it ? You can hardly run the country you do have. Why don't you first make a model state of the lands you govern and then with a straight face demand more.

As it is your people are unemployed and unemployable, running on aid money, no water, no electricity, uncontrolled population growth, incompetent government, what are you going to do with a few more million also unemployable people ?

A muslim majority state on the borders of Pakistan, which should have gone to Pakistan due to its overwhelming muslim population and india even being bigger still tried to screw Pakistan

Ayaz Amir is an ex army man. I find the last paragraph very pertinent if only anyone would pay heed.

Pakistan has held itself together either through fear or a common sense of hatred against a nation or group of people
- India ,USSR and internally -Bengalis, ahmediyas, Shias, Baluchis.

The futility of it all surely as this article brings out must be evident to the discerning few. Decades of opportunities lost .

Wrong. Pakistan doesn't hold together out of 'fear' of anyone. Pakistanis genuinely feel Pakistani and that is why Pakistan exists today even after the 1971 debacle. What 'fear' of India is used for, is the Armed Forces' new toys, also for keeping army expenditures in annual budgets presented to parliament shrouded under secrecy, 'fear' and 'national interest' is a great ploy the armed services and intelligence services use to keep their funding gravy train rolling along. In this, Pakistan is not much different from India or even the United States. The security establishment of most states use fear to keep their funding largess alive and relevant.

Other than that, yes Ayaz Amir is a sensible guy and his article is definitely something our Pakistani generals should read every morning before their tea. Who knows, perhaps there is some wisdom in it for India too.

More Muslims live in India compared to pakistan so we have the first right on Kashmir including Azad Kashmir.
So those Muslim majority states in India are also parts of Pakistan as per "TWO NATION THEORY"
