why so much hatred? People are people my dear friends.

When i visited Cuba i was apprehensive given our past history. I was so deeply touched by the welcome i got. There were many north american tourists visiting but i can tell you i was given a preferential treatment because of my nationality and not because of money (I had very little in comparison). I went and paid respect to memorials of my aged counter parts who never came back from Angola and hugged and spent hours with Cuban veterans. The Cubans turned out to be the most wonderful people I have ever met and contrary to what past propaganda we had been fed.

Friends, I have travelled from Cape Town straight to Cairo and numerous other countries across middle east and Europe - the message is simple, respect and humility is universal. My most memorable visit was to India by accident where the plane had mechanical issues and i was in transit - i was harassed by the immigration officers including 8 other fellow south africans. One elderly gentleman lost it and the entire airport saw his meltdown; we were issued a visa finally to enter Bombay... Guess what i had a great time, i landed up staying 3 days with my compatriots who chose to stay in hotel meanwhile i travelled across the city on buses, and a local taxi fellow for an entire day till late evening. I shared meals with this fellow. I will never forget the crowds, and excellent food yet poverty and class system made me thankful for what i had back home. The taxi fellow told me that he had for the first time met a passenger who treated him like a human being with respect.

Religion, race etc are meaningless if we cannot appreciate humanity and learn to be a good human being.

Why do you think we all wear skull caps and have indian type beards and a Hyderabadi "Mian" accent?

I don't know that such stereotype exist. I spent 10 years of my life out of my whole 24 years in UK and US. So I am relatively worldly and was not 'spoilt' by bollywood. I met quite a bit of Pakistanis in US and UK and I know them...on how they think and how they behave. They are quite different from PDF Pakistanis.

I had an Indian roommate, three Pakistanis and one Indian from Kerala, when he called his mom and told her about it she started screaming why you living with Pakistanis, they will kill you..move out today!

Stop blaming 'so called Muslim rulers' for what is apparently a national passion in Pakistan - of killing others. We Indians, along with everyone else in the world read papers and watch news, there is a reason why when out of a group going to a third country, the odds are that a Pakistani will be pulled out for a 'random' check.
