What's new

What’s happening in Kashmir is “Gujarat “: Ghulam Nabi Azad

.
The masjid was once a temple...perhaps that fact is conveniently ignored.
AND
no, these children and woman were not coming from anywhere
AND
only sick people would say something you said...Get well soon buddy.

Why you need enemies when you have people who thinks in this line

How shameless can you get? Well Kangrassis set a new benchmark every week

If there is an error you all are happy to correct me...this all was what i read...this place is also holy for Jains and Buddhists... Even if this was a Temple, the destruction was of course wrong, what are you trying to justify by destroying the Mosque? Revenge is sweet after 500 years?...we all were not present when this Mosque was built...even today many chuches and synagogues are destroyed and Mosques are made in their place in Europe and US. Should these be destroyed after 500 years?

.

What do u mean by that?
If there was a temple and mosque was built over it, how is that OK?

Shouldn't the property be returned back?

If you are saying might is right then stop crying about the mosque which was built over the temple being destroyed. You can't have it both ways.

You dont get my point. I never said that the temple's destruction was acceptable...all I am saying is that why destroy the Mosque after 500 years?

Oh, so, it's the amount of time that has passed since the crime has been committed....

BUT, why not muslims acknowledge the crime in first place and return the property back?
Isn't that what is being asked in Palestine? Can we ask the Palestinians to let go as it has been nearly 70 years?

Problem seems to the double standards when the crime is committed by your kind compared to when the crime is committed on you.

Parting shot....if you are asking Hindus to let go of one of the holiest places for Hindus, would you accept the same thing if it happened to your holiest place?

.
 He has no idea about what he's talking, considering half the time he is safe and sound in Delhi, eating state-funded lavish meals and going about in cars with VIP protection and perks.

Not to mention his family constantly being out of country for goodness knows what reason.

Your kind? Please elaborate...

Comparing the land of a country illegally occupied, displacement of millions of people, human rights abuses and a small piece of Religious land within India does not sound just...Can you give a better example?

I am not saying to let go of the land...obviously an agreement could have been reached instead of destroying the Mosque...

For protecting minorities in my country I would...Pakistan still has a few Sacred Hindu Places which have not been destroyed...

1. Hinglaj : It is said that the Head of Dakshayani (Sati) fell here...
2. Katasraj Temple : It is said that the Pandava Brothers built it....

Sir, 40000 temples destroyed.
4 were asked in return and even that is not acceptable to Indian muslims.

Do you how many mosques were destroyed in India and temples built on them - ZERO
Want to guess the contrarian statistics? You won't like it.

Let me know of any solution that won't involve destruction of the mosque which was built on Hindu temple?
Would you accept if the situation was reversed and the mosque in question was your holiest place?

Firstly, please see the link below which nullifies your 40000 temples theory...

http://www.tehelka.com/2013/11/its-a-myth-that-muslim-rulers-destroyed-thousands-of-temples/

Below Link mentions 80 Temples destroyed from 1193 till 1729....which of course I do not believe is good to do...

Secondly, as I have said before...I would not destroy the Hindu Temple...

Sadly temple was destroyed and a mosque built.
So, not sure why we are going in circles..

I appreciate your honesty that no religious structures should be destroyed and another built on top it. Even I echo that view.
BUT
The fact that this wrong has not been righted for centuries and is even now made a communal flash point is a sad reflection of pathetic plight of Hindus even in a Hindu majority country,

@hassamun
Thank you for displaying grace under pressure. Your calm and reasonable approach is really worth appreciating. There are several points of yours with which I do not entirely agree, but that is a different matter.

It might vitiate the atmosphere. There is already strong opposition, and initially, some harsh words said, which fortunately stopped once it was sensed that you were a person of goodwill trying to think his way, and the way for others, out of an unbearable situation.

If you don't mind, let us wait for calmer times to return, but let us stay reading all posts, and trying to understand them. That is perhaps the best contribution we can make to difficult times.

I'm sure that there will be an end to such difficult times soon :) ...
