What would happen if KMT ruled over China after 1949?

While this is all speculation, one thing wrong factually is, that KMT never sold out Outer Mongolia. It was rather the CCP that accepted their independence. Even today ROC maintains that Mongolia is a part of China while PRC doesn't.

Outer Mongolia officially declared their independence in 1946, so the government who signed this treaty was KMT.

CPC didn't represent China until 1949.

To include Mongolia on the map is nothing, i can even include the world into China's territory on the map, but does this change anything?

KMT was responsible for losing the Outer Mongolia, even the western source like Wikipedia has acknowledged this fact.

Yep "However, Chiang extracted from Stalin a promise to refrain from supporting the Chinese Communist Party, partly as a quid pro quo for giving up Outer Mongolia."

It's obvious who betrayed China and it wasn't CPC or Mao.

Mao was trying hard to keep Outer Mongolia within China, but it was already too late, the damage was already done by KMT.

If KMD had ruled China instead of CPC since 1949:

1. China would have never turned into a Marxist/ Communist.

2. The US would have never allied with Japan soon after WW2 - the very reason Japan recovered quickly as a loser of WW2 was because China turned red, hence the US felt the urgent need to ally with Japan to encircle red-China and red-Russia.

3. There would had been no Korean War : 100,000s of lives of both sides saved

4. The would had been no Communist VietNam, and would have had no VietNam War with the US, neither China-Vietnam war - millions of lives saved as a result.

5. China would have stationed troops in Japan as the US ally right after the war as a winner of WW2. Okinawa would have been another independent country friendly towards China sitting in the UN, like most of its history instead of being a part of Japan.

6. Japan's WW2 top criminals would have been executed. No one today would have heard the name called Shinzo Abe

7, there wouldn't have been Cultural Revolution and Great Leap forward...millions of Chinese lives ( many of whom were Chinese intellectual elites at a time) saved.

8. China would have been industrualised, and have freedom of speech and press, etc, almost the same way as Taiwan did, but on a much bigger scale at a much advanced level.

9. China would have become an economical and military statue -quo power of the US long ago, both as a friend and as a technological competitor to the US in the Parcific and around the multi-polar-world. As a result, with combined effort of both countries human beings would have probabaly colonised Mars years ago.

10. There have been no issue of Diao Yu Islands.

11. China's map today would have included: outter Mongolia, South Tibet, and a HUGE portion of today's Russian Far East - the ancestral homeland of the Manchus and teh Mongols.

12. The ole Soviet would have collapsed long ago, other than 1989, due to the combi efforts of China and the US - the allied powers.

13. Japan today would have become a little brother - a kind of "tributory state" - of China, like most of its time in the history.

14, both ChineseTiger and Speeder 2 would have been living in China instead.

15. India would have toilets long ago due to China's donations, rather than depending on Melinda & Bill Gates Foundation and Modi ji's world-touring begging bowl

...

I can go on.

Being a US ally is not wise, do you also believe Xinjiang and Xizang should be independent ? Because that's what would have under KMT rule.

Can't compare Taipei to China, 20 vs 1.3 Billion not the same.

All the mistakes the CPC has made will be corrected in 2050.

Next time you gotta try harder, and don't act like those Vietnamese.

He has been going rather low recently, showing his true China-hating face under the facade of long "lols' and various other emoticons.

Nice rebuttal.

Of course. No point in debating what ifs because CPC won and KMT losers are in Taiwan

I am getting sick of talking about these losers again, but @Speeder 2 has again started the trolling against CPC.

This guy often pretended himself to be pro-China, so I cannot let him to keep misleading the Chinese members here.

We will host foreign military base in China and that shit ain't happening. The biggest disgrace is hosting foreign military on my motherland soil. I find that disgusting and ruin our image.

It doesn't matter that they *accepted*. It was *lost* under their control. Not accepting a loss makes you delusional, not strong.

I don't understand why a country is happily hosting foreign military base. What does that say to the women of the country? "We are not man enough to protect you".
