What's new

What would be Narendra Modi's policy for Bangladesh?

I love to answer in points :D
This is what I want to happen to India BD relations in the near future

1. Surrender of at least half of the Indian enclaves within Bangladesh. An exchange of land, that is at least on a 50-50 basis, or partly favorable to Bangladesh. @BDforever There will be a complete population transfer(to prevent illegals).

2. All Bangladeshis except minorities seeking asylum be catapulted back to BD.

3. A joint water sharing board of India and Bangladesh.

4. Help in connecting western BD to East upto Chittagong, upgrading railway lines etc. In exchange right to use for freight.

5. Allow access to Chittagong port for NE states and relaxation of trade rules.

GENOCIDE

.
Because Bangladeshis have 100% Indian genes. Culture is 200% same and people are exactly same. Indians and Bangladeshis are blood brothers.

HAHA couldn't agree more, they both look 100% same this is what World thinks :omghaha::omghaha::omghaha::sarcastic::sarcastic::sarcastic:

Yeah, we are same same. No person in his wildest dream can distinguish between Indians and Bangladeshis. Basically Bangladeshis are Indians but due to religion we got separated and now have our own country. Now, we are Bangladeshi but in Pakistan's case its not same. Punjabi and Sindhis have Indian genes but Balochis, Pashtons have Afghan and Iranian genes. Are you Punjabi?

Assuming the claim is true -- and I am not saying it is -- what about other people who claim to be discriminated against?
What about Christian Bangladeshis or Shia Bangladeshis or atheist Bangladeshis?

The point was that Modi singled out Hindus, suggesting that GoI should make a special policy just for Hindus.

that why i said you are just acting dumb...while knowing the answer

The issue was that he differentiated between Hindu Bangladeshis coming to India and Muslim/Christian/atheist/whatever Bangladeshis.

.....he targeted only BD Muslim and that is completely fine.............they have their country .

Let me make it simple to understand.

There are three Bangladehis in India: a Muslim, a Hindu and a Christian.

Modi would welcome the Indian, but not the Muslim or the Christian.

It is natural to welcome the Indian

@Tshering22 - True, with so few non Muslims remaining it is natural to welcome those that are remaining.

. . .
Yes, that is what I meant. Thank you.
It is not the right thing, because he is elevating the Hindu's claim over the Christian's claim: that India has a special duty towards Hindus.
:) Well, let's see - India has a special duty to Dharmic people. Let's drink to Two Nation Theory. :yay:

Hindus Are Natives Of this Country That As well As All Indian Muslims. But In 1947 when British implement Two nation theory All Muslims has to make choice btw India and Pakistan they choose Pakistan which is Now Bangladesh. AS For Hindus Jinnah give them assurance that they will not suppress them of Being Minority. But after Mr Jinnah dies there was no one two Support Minorities Specially Hindus. So they start Moving to their Native Land which was Hindustan for Millenniums or So

I actually agree with you. India should only accept those hindus who apply for asylum on grounds of religious discrimination. We need to open a separate channel for accepting persecuted Hindus.

This would be his policy towards BD :partay:

BTW, PEOPLE ACROSS BORDERS GETTING TERRIFIED BY MODI, IMAGINE IF HE REALLY BECOMES THE PM :D

HAHA couldn't agree more, they both look 100% same this is what World thinks :omghaha::omghaha::omghaha::sarcastic::sarcastic::sarcastic:

This is the most detailed argument I have heard justifying special treatment for Hindus.

I don't know how that would sit with the Indian Constitution's stance on secularism. Someone who understands Indian Constitution would be better qualified to evaluate it.

An individual can feel whatever they want. The question is whether the state shares that responsibility.

Ideally, any religion which can show persecution should be treated equally instead of making a special case for Hindus.

However, given the history of the TNT, there might be some room to manoeuver.

That's right. Such sensitive issues must be looked at in light of history and historical facts. And this in no way runs counter to secular principles.

As For Knowledge Mate there Is No Proper Definition Of Secularism In Our Constitution It Was one Of the Most Controversial Word . Although All Political Parties Try Mend It In there Own Ways.
