I don't know how that would sit with the Indian Constitution's stance on secularism. Someone who understands Indian Constitution would be better qualified to evaluate it.
An individual can feel whatever they want. The question is whether the state shares that responsibility.
Ideally, any religion which can show persecution should be treated equally instead of making a special case for Hindus.
