I find it strange that a lot of people seem to think that merelt recognising Israel will lead to solving any animosity they may hold against us. As if this is some sort of a misunderstanding that can be cleared up.
Pakistan has never really tried to actively go against Israel. If we sent pilots in some war or the other, it was in support of our allies.
We refused to recognize Israel in full support of Palestina in 1948. We supported Jordan, Syria, Egypt and Libya in their wars against the jews and drew first blood. Our pilots flew Mirages and migs and even shot down Israeli fighters in 1965. There is a reason why Israel helped India in all her wars against us.
And what did we get in return from the Ummah for our unconditional support was again demonstrated in the OIC last week where Palestinian delegation officially praised and lobbies for Indian inclusion.
By recognizing Israel we will end the animosity without becoming their allies but it has huge strategic and diplomatic gains for both of us.
I do not understand why people still oppose Israel.
Most of those allies have been pacified by the Israelis. We never really went out of our way to do anything against them.
If most of their neighbors are ok with the, why can't we?
We are, as far as we concerned, too far away from them to do anything.
The Israelis, on the other hand, gone out of their way to hurt us. I doubt its simply because they crave our recognition.
Wrong. Physical distance means nothing when they have very close ties with our arch enemy, India. In the nineties Israel attempted to bomb Kahuta and other major nuclear installation using Indian bases. The attack formation was already airborn in Israel when Indians got cold feet and called it off.
And now they are in helping in Rajhastan.
The world is changing and the Israeli power is on the decline. The US isn't the sole superpower any more.
That is the most naive thing I have heard today. Israel is a technological powerhouse and it will remain so for decades to come. Their know how in micro chipping and nano technology is only second to USA.
If Pakistan has been able to survive not recognising Israel during its peak power and when US had a far greater influence on Pakistan, I think Pakistan can manage just fine now as well.
What worked yesterday doesn't give you the assurance that it will work tomorrow. Times are changing and so is political landscape. Our only priority should be to put Pakistan first and today it is in our interest to recognize Israel.

What benefits to India have come from befriending Israel?
If the Israelis were behind this whole thing, does anyone think it actually helped India? At best their advice was stupid and at worst they almost caused a war between two nuclear powers.
Not sure if you are naive or really ignorant (with all respect). Recognizing Israel was the game changer for India and a gateway to get into alliance with the USA. The most powerful Zionists in USA support Indian lobby. Puppets like Dana Rahrabacher who are on Indian payroll.
Israel also helped India with ToT in their missile and radar programs.
Btw, the Pulwama retaliation has a Israeli signature all over it.

What do people actually think will happen if Pakistan actually recognises Israel?
The Israelis have interests and certain goals. Does anyone really think a powerful and prosperous Pakistan fits into their goals?
...
Pakistan will gain strategic importance and a soft image. And the powerful Zionist media will be less harmful to us. If we play our cards right, we can neutralize or atleast minimize the Israeli support to the Indian war tactics.
