What was india in 1835,How British destroyed India.

About Pakistan being a part of India?

Check out this map:

india1760_1905.jpg

Just because stupid British imperialists tagged Pakistan along with Bharat/ present-day India, doesn't mean Pakistan should be a part of Bharat/present day India.

In fact Pakistan should never be associated with Bharat.

Pakistan should be associated with Afghanistan and Central Asian countries.

See Sindh, Multan, and Lahore is very similar to today's Pakistan except without Kashmir, Khyber-Pakhtunkwa, and Balochistan.

A thoroughly misleading map, and a thoroughly misleading comment. Even now, it is not too late. Check what that green mass on the Indus River represents. You might be surprised. It was not like that earlier than the Afsharids, it was not like that after Abdali, so to take such a firm grip on the configuration of a few dozen years is truly pathetic.

he was a traitor and black sheep are in every community....u can take him and keep him like veena malik.

no sir before Pakistan was formed...Taxila was in Pakistani Punjab and only Pakistani punjabis can own it as punjab was a state before with its own army and king.after punjab joined Pakistan...entire Pakistan can own taxila.....indians dont have anything to do with a city that is in Pakistan and that culturally flourished under the macedonian empire.

quit trolling now.
If you are Pakistan educated I can only see what third rate education u have had.
Taxila flourished under the Mauryas and was a centre for Vedic learning. But people who worship thieves plundered murderers rapists looters and fundamentalists can never understand the spirit of education scientific temper and tolerance. So think what you want India will claim history of Indians from Afghanistan to bangladesh. As I see it Pakistan is a temporary place holder of a nation that will soon be apportioned accordingly.

Debating history with Pakistan is not recommended .

Read about what they are taught in their schools . Use google .

^^ #145 andd u quit cut pasting if you can't add valuable inputs.

The history of taxila shows that the Hindus had a high culture and civil refinement. The current residents of the area came from barbaric lands west and killed and drove off the Hindus to the east

I think I am writing for the umpteenth time here..

Pakistan was created on the basis of a particular theory

even when we assume that theory to be 200 years old why should we divide history of more than 2000 years on the basis of a 200 year old idealogy. Who gave them that permission ?

Till 1947 Our history was same so it is part of shared history

India does not the baggage of an idealogy.. We are pretty comfortable..

For others it shows.. especially people still suffering from identity crisis and finding solace in history that is distorted by the geography of a land or the breath of an idealogy..

.
more than 80 percent of the facts you mentioned here are regarding Pakistan....stop stealing Pakistani history and making yourselves fools........takshila/taxila is in Pakistani Punjab...indus rivers flows in Pakistan.....indus valley is in Pakistan...indus civilization flourished in Pakistan and represents Pakistan.....Silk route initiated in Pakistan.....Gandhara Civilization flourished in Pakistan....8000 year old Mahergerh civilization flourished in Pakistan.......three mountain ranges of Himalayas, hindukush and karakoram meet in Pakistan...............dont tell me Pakistan was a part of india before 1947....Pakistan was a part of british empire.......and before the britishers came and established this empire...india was never a one unit country....the land u call india was composed up to small kingdoms with their own rulers and armies....so stop giving this impression that before 1947...Pakistan was a part of india and india was one country being ruled by some prime minister under a democracy.

its interesting how your propoganda ministry forgot to mention 8000 year old mahergerh civilization too.....keep fooling your generations....this what happens when u dont have anything to be proud of...then u steal history of neighbouring countries.

Against such incredible ignorance, it is not worthwhile rebutting the matter in detail. After looking closely at this post, and at the language used in another post, it is quite clear that we have a Pakistani troll flying a false flag. Nothing wrong with that, as long as we recognise it - and the troll - for what it/he is. There is, after all, a similar false flag in Hello_10, just as obnoxious, just as ill-informed.

These idiots lower the tone of the forum. I have watched PTH die a slow and lingering death, and then revive under different conditions; it would be sad if trolls overtook the forum here as well.

Dear Joe,

Don't you think you should engage with people who deserve your attention and understand reason to pursue a debate

For example..There is another one like him.. You can go to the Old Bangla Photos Thread and see threads by Sheikh Shakib...

And his Dravidian Bengali concept :-))

This is the first time that I have been called a troll.

Could I ask how, from your lofty position of 44 posts, and your membership of this forum from December 2011, you are able to spot me for a troll when other members of longer standing and greater reputation have not?

What was india in 1835,How British destroyed India.
Lord Macaulay's Address to the British Parliament 2nd February, 1835

PS:In 1835 pakistan is a part of india :)

He traveled large parts of India and didn't see many beggars. period .

That could give a clear indication of financial situation of most Indians at that time.

There is uncertainly whether he made this statement .

.
read my posts and dont steal Pakistani history...be proud of what existed in your land.....i.e khajuraho civilization that attracts israeli tourists.

Quite clearly a Pakistani false flag troll. Note the sensitivity to Pakistani history, which never existed; note the visceral hatred of Israeli tourists, a reference out of a blue sky.

Sickening.

You have a point. They are so thick that a discussion with them is like crawling through treacle on a cold day.

Here is what Swami Vivekananda had to say about education system prevalent during British regime; (Taken from ‘My India, the India eternal’ written by Swami Vivekananda.)

“It (present university system) is almost wholly one of defects. Why, it is nothing but a perfect machine for turning out clerks. I would even thank my stars if that were all. But no! See how men are becoming destitute of Shraddha and faith. They assert that the Geeta is only an interpolation, and that the Vedas are but rustic songs!
The education that you are getting now has some good points, but it has a tremendous disadvantage which is so great that the good things are all weighed down. In the first place it is not man making education. A negative education or any training that is based on negation is worse than death. The child is taken to school, and the first thing he learns is that his father is a fool, the second thing that his grandfather is a lunatic, the third thing that all his teachers are hypocrites, the fourth that all the sacred books are lies! By the time he is sixteen he is a mass of negation and boneless.”

sir all three of them are posting threads based on fake documents.....now that represents indian state of mind....why dont you control them.
they dont know simple geography.....most of them are claiming taxila is in india...while we all know it is in Pakistan,

You obviously do not know how to read. Bang Galore did not post threads based on fake documents, but on the authentic document. So sad that you do not know the difference. And I know better than to think that you represent the Pakistani state of mind, because I have had extended discussions with educated Pakistanis, and they do not resemble you in the least.

As far as simple geography is concerned, it is sad that you seem to have had no more than a nodding acquaintance with either geography or with history.

1. There was no Pakistan before 1947, just as there was no Sovereign, Secular, Socialist, Democratic Republic of India before 1947.
2. These two independent nations were granted nationality and independence by the British Crown, through its act of Parliament granting indenpendence to India.
3. The Crown colony of British India was divided into two, as a result of negotiations between the British government on the one hand, and the AIML and INC on the other hand, and the AIML got its wish of two Muslim homelands in the west and in the east. It was not a partition of India on the basis of religious majority in various provinces. The Muslim homelands were selected from Muslim-majority provinces of British India, not independent or semi-independent states.
4. Another 500 odd princely states with treaties of alliance with the British Crown were released from their treaty obligations, and the treaty obligations of the British Crown to them were revoked after August 15, 1947; these states were given the option of joining either Pakistan or India thereafter. Independence was not an option.
5. The Crown Colony of India was formed in 1858, when the British Crown took over the old holdings of the East India Company, which was regulated by the British Parliament in large measure.
6. While the British holdings were British India, the rest of the land mass was India; there was also Portuguese India, for instance, and French India. INDIA WAS NOT A TERM USED EXCLUSIVELY BY THE BRITISH, BUT WAS IN GENERAL THE EUROPEAN NAME FOR THE SUB-CONTINENT.
7. The Punjab was independent at times, and subordinate to a larger kingdom at times. For instance, it was part of the Sultanate of Delhi throughout most of the history of the Sultanate, it was part of the Mughal empire throughout the period of the Mughal Empire except for two short spells after the expulsion of Humayun by Sher Shah, and for another spell after the invasion of Nader Shah.
8. It lost its independence to the Marathas, and then to Ahmed Shah Abdali.
9. After remaining part of the reign of Ahmed Shah, it became independent under the Sikhs.

The history of the Punjab was by no means an independent history, but it had spells of independence. This is exactly the same as it was for Bengal, and also for the Dakhin, or the Deccan.

First because you are an Indian, and second that pen never reaches next page.
