What percentage of pilots in these air force are Pakistani

.
Immigrants dear. On path to citizenship. Joining US military brightens the prospect. Here we are talking of foreign citizens who do not intend to change their citizenship.

It is important to dig out reality. Social media has become a tool to promote misinformation. Neither this guy is commanding presidential guards (oh come on!) not he is receiving any award. He just delivered a speech at a seminar for counter insurgency and he is receiving a token as a momento of his participation. He works as an advisor in one of military school in UAE as was clarified by a member here on same forum.

It is not uncommon to find foreign nationals in militaries especially those who maintain close ties with other nations. It is also possible to find a foreign national employed in military. But that does not happen in combat role or roles as sensitive as protecting your head of state. I mean come on, you think UAE will employ an Australian to protect their president? Heck, they don't even have a president! They are a monarchy remember.

It is entirely possible to find foreign military advisors, Instructors', think tank members, support teams etc etc.

That picture was from a news website not from Social media, i can't seem to post links here, so just google General Mike Hindmarsh. a news article from 2009 says he was recruited as an advisor but all the latest articles say he is now the commander of the presidential guards.

And just for your knowledge UAE does have a Presidential Guard Unit, but unlike its name its primary job is not the protection of the President. Below is an extract from the globalsecurity website

"The UAE Presidential Guard is a military unit that operates outside the conventional framework of traditional armed forces like ground, marine and air forces. The UAE Presidential Guard differs in organisation, armament, training – and ultimately the missions it undertakes. Formally established in the 2010-2011 timeframe, the Presidential Guard was said to have been born out of the merger of several UAE Armed Forces units brought together under one command and one flag, which operates on land, sea and air. It is unclear whether the "Presidential Guard" designation is simply intended to reflect the elite status of the unit, or whether it also performs regime defense functions as well, but in truth it is probably a bit of both. It is, however, clearly a combat formation, and in no sense simply the Emirati counterpart of the American Secret Service."

Since "YOU" know so much about the UAE Army do tell us about the "Award" he is receiving?

UAE Presidential Guard Commander Mike Hindmarsh receives an award (UAE armed forces) -

The guy on the Left is General Mike Hindmarsh, he is a retired Australian Army Officer and now leads the UAE Presidential Guards.

I think i have said enough :)

.
so Bahrain gave nationality to Pakkistanis ? just curious , i know Oman also have Baloch nationals ,
Yes. A lot. And it is not like Oman who have a strong base of balochs living there since a long time. Over here you need to live for 25 years to apply for citizenship. The most people who are naturalized are government employees.

.
There are Ex-Pakistan Navy Officers serving as instructors (60%) in the Navy Training College in Abu Dhabhi.

.
In Bahrain there are no Pakistani pilots in the Air Force. Pakistani retired technicians and trainers are part of the team but no pilots in service that I know of. There are Bahrainis of Pakistani origin in the Army though. One of them was martyred in Yemen. May Allah protect them all.
There are 2 ex-PAF pilots instructing on Hawk Mk. 129s. Both flew F-16s during their operational careers in PAF, with one also flying the F-16 on exchange in Turkey.

why should i bother let them work and earn bread and butter

Why do u ask?

Overall not just airforce including intelligence communities:

Almost 70% in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan.

almost 90% in Bahrain & Qatar, n 40% Kuwait, Oman, 20% Lebanon & Egypt

Please stop pulling numbers from thin air. It's frankly ridiculous.

That's the point he is not getting an award, he is getting a memento, on the occasion of him delivering a lecture on counter terrorism.
Revealed: The foreign element within UAE forces in Yemen | Page 2

This thread like many others is only meant to go one way. A fanboyish masturbation circle in which they slam other forces for using mercenaries (as they put it) and lauding the PAF as a master.

Personally I don't see this as something positive for the PAF. For me it shows that the PAF is unable to retain its brightest and best. Whether that is due to pay scales, promotion/career prospects, tours, or even personal security within P it (retention) is a problem that needs to be looked at seriously.

Just a little thought to end, if it wasn't Pakistani drivers, technicians, and instructors it would be someone else equally as capable and respected. Thinking that AFs are limited to poaching the talent of a single nation is simply naive.

This is hurting the PAF not aiding it.
